Day 1: The Blessing of the Lord is Guaranteed by Christ’s Work

The blessing of the Lord is not a vague hope but a guaranteed reality for those in Christ, because it is rooted in the unchanging character of Jehovah and the finished work of Jesus, who redeemed us from the curse and made us heirs of incorruptible blessing. When you understand that your spirit is born of incorruptible seed, you can live with confidence that God’s blessing is at work in you, regardless of your past or present circumstances. This assurance is not based on your own efforts, but on the perfect sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, who gives you full access to the Spirit and the fullness of God’s promises. [01:16:33]

This means your spiritual DNA is rooted in the living Word, and you are called to reflect Jesus in every area of your life. The enemy will try to confuse or blind you to your identity, but when you embrace that you are a living epistle, your life becomes a testimony of God’s love and power to those around you. [01:18:30]

The enemy’s primary strategy is to steal the Word from your heart, knowing that if he can remove the Word, every area of your life—marriage, health, finances, purpose—will be affected. The Word is your foundation, your light, and your source of wisdom and power; guarding your heart and prioritizing the Word is essential for experiencing God’s fullness and overcoming every obstacle. The conditions of your heart—whether hardened by disappointment, filled with unresolved pain, or distracted by worldly cares—can block the blessing and fruitfulness God desires for you. God gives you grace and opportunities to deal with these issues, but you must allow the Holy Spirit to break up the fallow ground, remove stones of offense or bitterness, and uproot thorns of misplaced trust or compromise. Your willingness to confront and remove blessing blockers—whether pain, compromise, or misplaced trust—ensures that your children and spiritual descendants inherit a legacy of faith, wholeness, and supernatural fruitfulness. Stony ground describes those who receive the Word with initial enthusiasm but lack depth; when trials come, the Word withers because there is no root. Thorny ground is where the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things choke the Word, making it unfruitful. In each case, the solution is not self-effort but yielding to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to break up the fallow ground, remove the stones, and uproot the thorns.

God, in His grace, gives us windows of opportunity to deal with these heart conditions. If we respond, He brings healing, restoration, and fruitfulness—not just for ourselves, but for the generations that follow. “Wayside ground, the best way to describe it, we have a farm in the Eastern Cape. And when we go, so where my grandfather's farm is, that's the end of the road. All the other farms after that, you have to access by foot. And so there was a farmer that was maybe about four or five Ks away. They would come and park their car at my grandfather's farm. And then they would walk, take their stuff, whatever their goods were, hire a few guys. And they would walk about four Ks. After years and years, decades of walking on the same path, what we found is that no vegetation grew on that path. It was worn out. Even when it rained, because of the ground being so compressed, there was no air in the ground for seed to take root and grow because of the constant traffic, people going to and fro on that pathway. Family, that's a picture of our lives. Sometimes we feel so run down. Sometimes we feel that life is just a railroad in us. And it's almost as though one thing after the next. The devil, his strategy is simple. If I can cause you to go through ongoing and continual circumstances, I will wear you out. I will harden your heart. I will harden your spirit. I will harden your mind that you'll get to a point where the word that is so precious cannot penetrate.”

“If you want God to intervene, you have to then allow the Holy Spirit in and give Him permission to deal with the difficult areas in your life. If you can break up the fallow ground and allow the Holy Spirit to deal with those difficult areas, you'll be amazed how the seed will take root in that same ground that's now broken up. Take root, grow, and you will see these supernatural outcomes that God has.”

“The enemy is after the word. He's not after anything else. He's after the word that's in your heart. You have your devotions in the morning. You stand on a word or a promise of God in the morning. The enemy is after that word. And if you don't know how to protect that word, that word will never grow and never yield outcomes.”
