The blessing of the Lord is not a vague hope but a guaranteed reality for those in Christ, because it is rooted in the unchanging character of Jehovah and the finished work of Jesus, who redeemed us from the curse and made us heirs of incorruptible blessing. When you understand that your spirit is born of incorruptible seed, you can live with confidence that God’s blessing is at work in you, regardless of your past or present circumstances. This assurance is not based on your own efforts, but on the perfect sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, who gives you full access to the Spirit and the fullness of God’s promises. [01:16:33]
Galatians 3:13-14 (ESV)
"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree'—so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith."
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you have doubted God’s blessing is truly for you? How can you remind yourself today that Christ’s work guarantees your access to God’s blessing?
Long before the world began, God chose you in Christ, and your true identity is found in Him as part of His Word and His purpose. This means your spiritual DNA is rooted in the living Word, and you are called to reflect Jesus in every area of your life. The enemy will try to confuse or blind you to your identity, but when you embrace that you are a living epistle, your life becomes a testimony of God’s love and power to those around you. [01:18:30]
Ephesians 1:3-4 (ESV)
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him."
Reflection: In what practical way can you live out your identity as someone chosen in Christ today, so that others can “read” the living Word through your actions?
Everything in your life is shaped and sustained by the Word of God; without it, you merely exist rather than truly live. The enemy’s primary strategy is to steal the Word from your heart, knowing that if he can remove the Word, every area of your life—marriage, health, finances, purpose—will be affected. The Word is your foundation, your light, and your source of wisdom and power; guarding your heart and prioritizing the Word is essential for experiencing God’s fullness and overcoming every obstacle. [01:29:08]
Mark 4:14-15 (ESV)
"The sower sows the word. And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them."
Reflection: What is one specific way you can guard your heart and make space for God’s Word to take root in your life today?
The conditions of your heart—whether hardened by disappointment, filled with unresolved pain, or distracted by worldly cares—can block the blessing and fruitfulness God desires for you. God gives you grace and opportunities to deal with these issues, but you must allow the Holy Spirit to break up the fallow ground, remove stones of offense or bitterness, and uproot thorns of misplaced trust or compromise. When you courageously face these areas and invite God’s intervention, your heart becomes good ground, ready to receive and multiply His Word. [01:50:29]
Mark 4:18-19 (ESV)
"And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful."
Reflection: What is one “ground” in your heart—hardness, a hidden stone, or a thorn—that you sense God is inviting you to address with Him this week?
The conditions you leave unaddressed in your heart can be passed on to the next generation, but if you take ownership and allow God to heal and transform you, you pave the way for greater blessing and freedom for those who come after you. Your willingness to confront and remove blessing blockers—whether pain, compromise, or misplaced trust—ensures that your children and spiritual descendants inherit a legacy of faith, wholeness, and supernatural fruitfulness. God’s desire is for each generation to go further and be stronger; your obedience today can break cycles and release new levels of blessing tomorrow. [01:55:12]
Psalm 78:6-7 (ESV)
"That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments."
Reflection: What is one step you can take today to ensure that the next generation—your children, family, or those you influence—inherit a legacy of blessing and not the unresolved issues of the past?
Today’s focus is on understanding and removing the obstacles that block the flow of God’s blessing in our lives. We are reminded that, through Christ, we have been redeemed from the curse and are now recipients of the incorruptible blessing of God. This blessing is not just a vague promise but a guaranteed reality, rooted in the very nature of Jehovah, the self-existing One, and sealed by the incorruptible blood of Jesus. Our identity is found in Him; before the foundation of the world, we were in the bosom of God, shaped by His Word, and destined to reflect the living Word, Jesus Christ.
Yet, many believers struggle to see the fullness of this blessing manifest. The parable of the sower in Mark 4 reveals that the condition of our hearts determines the fruitfulness of the Word in our lives. The enemy’s primary strategy is to steal the Word, not merely to attack our circumstances, but to undermine the very root from which all true life and blessing flow. Without the Word, we are left with nothing but emptiness and frustration, regardless of our outward achievements.
Three heart conditions block the blessing: wayside, stony, and thorny ground. Wayside ground represents hearts hardened by the relentless pressures and disappointments of life, where the Word cannot penetrate. Stony ground describes those who receive the Word with initial enthusiasm but lack depth; when trials come, the Word withers because there is no root. Thorny ground is where the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things choke the Word, making it unfruitful. In each case, the solution is not self-effort but yielding to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to break up the fallow ground, remove the stones, and uproot the thorns.
God, in His grace, gives us windows of opportunity to deal with these heart conditions. If we respond, He brings healing, restoration, and fruitfulness—not just for ourselves, but for the generations that follow. Our responsibility is to examine our hearts honestly, invite the Spirit’s intervention, and refuse to compromise the standard of God’s Word. In doing so, we position ourselves and our descendants to walk in the fullness of God’s blessing.
The Bible says the blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich. So what is the meaning of that statement or that word it? When you study the word it in the Hebrew, it's the word who, H -O -O, who. The word who in the Hebrew is the word he. So when you then paraphrase it, the blessing of the Lord, he maketh rich, and he adds no sorrow. So who's the he? The subject is the Lord. Amen. So if the subject is the Lord, then the Lord there is in capital letters, which is Jehovah. So the blessing of the Lord, Jehovah, maketh rich, and he adds no sorrow. Amen. [01:14:34]
So what that means then is that when you get born again, there is absolutely nothing in your spirit that is corrupted. Our flesh is corrupted. Because the Bible says in sin did my mother conceive me. We all have baggage and scripting and so forth and so on. But my spirit man is a brand new creation. And so when you begin to understand that, you begin to understand that you are born of incorruptible seed. Therefore, the blessing that's in you is guaranteed to work. [01:16:53]
Ephesians 1, this is very, very important that we go through some of these things. Ephesians 1, verses 3 and 4. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. According, verse 4, as he has chosen us in him from before the foundation of the world. So you were not chosen when God created heaven. Remember Genesis 1, verse 1? In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Amen? The Bible says you were in him from before. Yeah? So where were you then? You were in the bosom of God. [01:17:50]
So environment creates. Amen? Environment creates. So if you were in the environment of the word, everything about your DNA is based or centered around the word. That's why the Bible says we are living epistles read of men. What must man read when they read our lives? They must read that we are like Jesus, the living word. Amen? [01:19:10]
Obstacles that hinder the blessing from flowing this morning must be removed. Amen? So that we can become all that God would have us be. [01:21:23]
The wisdom of God, when you get born again, regardless of whether you are a fully developed and fully mature Christian, or whether you are just born again today, when you are born again, you immediately receive a download of the wisdom of God. Every ounce of wisdom that's set aside, when you get born again, you have direct access to all the wisdom in this word. The question is this. Are you accessing that wisdom? Are you accessing that wisdom? Are you activating that wisdom? Are you searching for that wisdom? And are you exercising that wisdom? It's given. [01:25:02]
If you can access the wisdom, if you can access the mysteries, if you can access the understanding, and you understand this parable, this parable is a doorway parable. It opens the doors, the main door to every other parable. Meaning that when you understand how to access the mystery or understand the revelation of this parable, which is locked in the wisdom of God or the word of God, which is given to you by Jesus himself, then you can unlock every other parable. [01:26:10]
Now, you have to understand that in life, if you remove the word from your life, you have nothing. You have nothing. You have nothing. Everything, everything about our lives revolve around the word. Everything, whatever you want in life, whatever you desire in life, revolves around the word. The sower sows the word. The word is so important. The word will shape and mold every area of your life. The word will bring life into every area of your life. [01:27:22]
The word is quick and powerful and sharper than any two -edged sword. God, that it can divide, it can cut away the flesh, it can cut away the sin, it can cut away the transgression, it can cut away the scripting, it can cut away the hurt of the past, it can cut away the disappointments and the loss that you experience. The word is quick and powerful. [01:28:20]
Without the word, family, we cannot exist. Without the word, we are existing, not living. Amen? We exist in a world system with no purpose, no depth, and no meaning. We exist in a world system with a great void on the inside of us because your true fulfillment only comes when the word of God is manifested in your heart. Outside that, there is no true fulfillment. [01:28:44]
So if I can, you see, we're so focused on fruit issues that we forget to understand the root issues. The Bible says, if the root be holy, so will the branches. And so what's the root? The root is the Word of God. The Bible says in Psalm 11, 3, if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? What's the foundation? It's the Word of God. [01:30:14]
So number one, we know the seed is the Word of God. In this context and in this parable, the heart, because the sower or the soil sows the Word, the soil is the heart, is the heart. And your heart, the Bible says, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the well springs of life. The Bible says, for out of your heart flows the rivers of living water, your spirit. Amen. [01:31:02]
The rivers, it's the grace of God, and the revelation of God, and the understanding of God, and the knowledge of God, and the mercy of God, and the ability of God, and the strength of God. Amen. It flows out of you and gives you the ability that in challenging and difficult seasons, I have the ability to overcome. I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. Amen. [01:31:38]
Wayside ground, the best way to describe it, we have a farm in the Eastern Cape. And when we go, so where my grandfather's farm is, that's the end of the road. All the other farms after that, you have to access by foot. And so there was a farmer that was maybe about four or five Ks away. They would come and park their car at my grandfather's farm. And then they would walk, take their stuff, whatever their goods were, hire a few guys. And they would walk about four Ks. After years and years, decades of walking on the same path, what we found is that no vegetation grew on that path. It was worn out. Even when it rained, because of the ground being so compressed, there was no air in the ground for seed to take root and grow because of the constant traffic, people going to and fro on that pathway. Family, that's a picture of our lives. Sometimes we feel so run down. Sometimes we feel that life is just a railroad in us. And it's almost as though one thing after the next. The devil, his strategy is simple. If I can cause you to go through ongoing and continual circumstances, I will wear you out. I will harden your heart. I will harden your spirit. I will harden your mind that you'll get to a point where the word that is so precious cannot penetrate. [01:32:46]
If you want God to intervene, you have to then allow the Holy Spirit in and give Him permission to deal with the difficult areas in your life. If you can break up the fallow ground and allow the Holy Spirit to deal with those difficult areas, you'll be amazed how the seed will take root in that same ground that's now broken up. Take root, grow, and you will see these supernatural outcomes that God has. [01:37:52]
The enemy is after the word. He's not after anything else. He's after the word that's in your heart. You have your devotions in the morning. You stand on a word or a promise of God in the morning. The enemy is after that word. And if you don't know how to protect that word, that word will never grow and never yield outcomes. [01:38:50]
Everything is held by the word of his power. Everything is held by the word of his power. And if you want God to hold your life and be your foundation, Deuteronomy declares, underneath are the everlasting arms of God. That's the word of God as your foundation. If you want to be withheld and upheld by the word of God, then you need his word. [01:39:26]
Only when you acknowledge those stones can the Holy Spirit then come in and begin to remove those stones and soften your heart so that the soil of your heart can be conducive to receive the seed, to allow the seed to germinate and grow, and so that you can get the peaceable fruits of the harvest. And so you have to acknowledge those areas and then trust God to overcome. [01:41:28]
What you compromise to get, you're going to have to compromise to keep. Family, you must understand, this word, when I say the statement, this word is the highest form of reality. What does that mean? What does that mean? It means that this word must be your standard. And if you're standing, and you're the only one standing on the standard, then it's better to stand alone. But you can't compromise. [01:44:19]
If we don't deal with those grounds, those grounds and those conditions will be transferred to the next generation, and that generation will have to deal with it. How unfair is that? If we can take ownership, and if we can deal with these conditions, the blessing will manifest, will overflow, and bring us into our fullness in Jesus' name. [01:53:51]
