Relentless Pursuit: Embracing God's Blessings and Grace

Summary

### Summary

Praise the Lord! It's a joy and honor to be here with you today. I want to share some updates about our ministry in Guatemala and reflect on the incredible blessings and opportunities God has provided. Our Bible school in Guatemala has been thriving, with new facilities and graduates who are now leading their own congregations. We also engage in various outreach activities, including building homes for families in need and supporting local churches and schools. These acts of service not only meet physical needs but also open hearts to receive the Word of God.

Today, I want to focus on the theme of God's pursuit of us and our pursuit of Him. Ephesians 2:4-6 reminds us that God, rich in mercy, has raised us up and seated us in heavenly places with Christ. This is a profound truth that should fill us with joy and gratitude. But it gets even better. Verse 7 tells us that in the ages to come, God will continue to show us the exceeding riches of His grace. God is not done blessing us; He has more in store for us.

God is actively pursuing us with His blessings, promises, and goodness. He is not pursuing us to punish or correct us harshly but to bless us abundantly. However, this pursuit is not one-sided. We must also pursue God with all our hearts. We need to push through our issues, circumstances, and the crowd to touch Jesus, just like the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5. She didn't let her condition stop her; she pressed through and received her healing.

Similarly, Jairus pursued Jesus for his daughter's healing, even when it seemed too late. Jesus encouraged him to keep believing, and his daughter was healed. We must keep the switch of faith turned on, regardless of setbacks or delays. God's blessings are ours to claim because we are His children. We have the right to pursue and receive His promises.

### Key Takeaways

1. God's Rich Mercy and Grace: Ephesians 2:4-7 highlights that God, rich in mercy, has raised us up with Christ and seated us in heavenly places. This is not just a future promise but a present reality. We are already children of God, and His grace continues to abound in our lives. This should fill us with immense gratitude and joy. [52:54]

2. God's Pursuit of Us: God is actively pursuing us with His blessings, promises, and goodness. He is not looking to punish us but to bless us abundantly. This pursuit is a testament to His love and grace. We must recognize that God's hand is always open, ready to pour out His blessings upon us. [56:33]

3. Our Pursuit of God: While God is pursuing us, we must also pursue Him. This involves pushing through our issues, circumstances, and the crowd to touch Jesus, just like the woman with the issue of blood. Our pursuit of God should be relentless, driven by faith and a deep desire to experience His presence and blessings. [01:05:02]

4. Faith in the Midst of Setbacks: Jairus' story teaches us to keep the switch of faith turned on, even when it seems too late. Jesus encouraged Jairus to keep believing, and his daughter was healed. We must not let life's interruptions or delays cause us to give up. God's timing is perfect, and His promises are sure. [01:20:54]

5. Claiming Our Inheritance: As children of God, we have the right to claim His blessings. We are joint heirs with Christ, and the inheritance of heaven belongs to us. We must boldly pursue and claim the promises of God, knowing that we are worthy because He has made us worthy. [01:26:48]

### Bible Study Discussion Guide

#### Bible Reading
1. Ephesians 2:4-7 (NIV): "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."

2. Mark 5:25-34 (NIV): "And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, 'If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.' Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, 'Who touched my clothes?' 'You see the people crowding against you,' his disciples answered, 'and yet you can ask, "Who touched me?"' But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'"

3. Romans 8:32 (NIV): "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?"

Day 1: Experiencing God's Rich Mercy and Grace
God, rich in mercy, has raised us up with Christ and seated us in heavenly places. This is not just a future promise but a present reality. We are already children of God, and His grace continues to abound in our lives. This should fill us with immense gratitude and joy. Ephesians 2:4-7 reminds us that God, rich in mercy, has raised us up and seated us in heavenly places with Christ. This is a profound truth that should fill us with joy and gratitude. But it gets even better. Verse 7 tells us that in the ages to come, God will continue to show us the exceeding riches of His grace. God is not done blessing us; He has more in store for us. [52:54]

Ephesians 2:4-7 (ESV): "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."

Reflection: How can you remind yourself daily of the reality that you are already seated in heavenly places with Christ? What practical steps can you take to live out this truth in your everyday life?

Day 2: Recognizing God's Pursuit of Us

Reflection: In what ways have you seen God actively pursuing you with His blessings and goodness? How can you become more aware of His pursuit in your daily life?

Day 3: Our Relentless Pursuit of God
While God is pursuing us, we must also pursue Him. This involves pushing through our issues, circumstances, and the crowd to touch Jesus, just like the woman with the issue of blood. Our pursuit of God should be relentless, driven by faith and a deep desire to experience His presence and blessings. We need to push through our issues, circumstances, and the crowd to touch Jesus, just like the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5. She didn't let her condition stop her; she pressed through and received her healing. [01:05:02]

Mark 5:27-29 (ESV): "She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, 'If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.' And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease."

Day 4: Keeping Faith in the Midst of Setbacks
Jairus' story teaches us to keep the switch of faith turned on, even when it seems too late. Jesus encouraged Jairus to keep believing, and his daughter was healed. As children of God, we have the right to claim His blessings. We are joint heirs with Christ, and the inheritance of heaven belongs to us. We must boldly pursue and claim the promises of God, knowing that we are worthy because He has made us worthy. God's blessings are ours to claim because we are His children. We have the right to pursue and receive His promises. [01:26:48]

Romans 8:17 (ESV): "And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him."
