42s
“The people did not recognize his value, yet God's purpose didn't change. The people did not choose him, yet God had already chosen him. The people tried to remove him, yet God said, this is the cornerstone, the one in whom I will build life on. God used the rejection that Jesus experienced to bring about his plan for salvation.”
65s
“Jesus was rejected by religious leaders, by his own people. Doesn't it hurt when our own people reject us? When the people that we thought were always gonna be there, when family turns their back on us, but they judge us or mistreat us, It hurts, but he understands and he's with you in it. Jesus may not remove the rejection in our life, but he will meet you in every single one of them. He will comfort you. He will heal you. He will remind you that the rejection you face will not cancel the purpose of God over your life.”
56s
“The greatest comfort that we find is not that you would never experience rejection again, but that you don't have to experience it alone. That the next time that relationship ends, that friendship that you thought was gonna be your ride or die dissipates. That career goal that you had and it's just not happening. The next time you get down on yourself because things are not going the way that you wanted them to go. Can I invite you to think, Jesus, you understand? I'm not alone in this. Nobody around you may understand, but Jesus understands.”
