Day 1: God Is Our Refuge and Fortress

To dwell in the shadow of the Almighty is to intentionally choose God as your place of safety, comfort, and trust. This is not a passive act, but a daily decision to seek His presence and rely on Him as your protector, especially when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. In the secret place of prayer and communion, God offers shelter from the storms of life, inviting you to rest in His faithfulness and strength. No matter what you face, you can declare, “My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust,” knowing that He is both willing and able to shield you. [01:04:31]

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Day 2: God’s Protection Is Personal and Present

Just as a child can sense the loss of earthly protection, God steps in to remind you that you are never truly unprotected; His care is both intimate and powerful, and He often reveals His presence in ways that speak directly to your heart. Even when circumstances seem impossible or resources are scarce, God can send help, open doors, and make a way where there seems to be none. Your worth is immeasurable in His eyes, and He delights to reward those who rest in His love and salvation. Throughout my life, God has shown up in unexpected ways—through messengers, provision, and protection, whether in the heart of Baltimore or the jungles of Congo. Each testimony is a reminder that God keeps His promises. He sees us, values us, and provides for us, even when circumstances seem dire. Our role is to trust, to step out in faith, and to rest in the assurance that we are under His wings. Even when we are not immune to adversity, we are never abandoned. God’s faithfulness endures, and His promises remain true: “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.”
