God's glory is deeply rooted in His character—His holiness, righteousness, mercy, and truth. This glory is not just a physical manifestation but a reflection of who God is. As believers, we are called to reflect this glory by embodying His character in our lives. The world may often seem devoid of glory, much like the Ichabod world described in the Bible, but God's glory is ever-present and can fill the earth and our lives. By developing a holy character, we become living testimonies of God's power and love, glorifying Him and bearing witness to the power of the Gospel. [09:22]

Our transformation into the image of Christ is a journey from glory to glory, facilitated by the Holy Spirit. Unlike the external law given in glory, which could not change the heart, the Holy Spirit writes the law on our hearts, enabling us to live out God's righteousness. We are called to God's glory. Do you realize that? We're caught called to God's glory, you and I, each of his children are called to Glory. First Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 11 and 12. Paul is writing he writes as you know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you as a father doth his children. [00:13:00]

We are called to glory and virtue, and I believe we can believe that it is our virtue that will be the source of our Glory, and we're called to it. So we're called to virtue, we're called to Holy character, that has to do with who we are as a person. [00:16:03]

Jesus did two things well. Jesus did a lot of things, but as is pertinent to what I'm talking to you about right now, Jesus did two things. One is he showed us what glorious character really looks like. He gave us an example so that we can be directed to that example. [00:24:43]

How do we become glorious? By the work of the spirit of Jesus, which is the spirit of God, in our lives. Here's what it says in the eighth chapter of Romans verses 3 and 4: what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh. The Holy Spirit Will minister to you the cleansing water of the word. He's your teacher, and he will enable you to practice what you learn. He's your helper, but you have to cooperate. Okay, that's your part. You have to cooperate. You have to choose to learn from the word. [00:41:09]

You can develop patience and meekness and love and gentleness in every circumstance. You can develop glorious character in every circumstance. In fact, the scriptures suggest the harder the circumstances, the greater the trial, the greater the work of righteousness that the spirit of God will do in you. [00:46:15]

Some of you ask what can I do to glorify God? You can let him develop love and joy and peace in you. Some of you ask what can I do to further the kingdom? You can be an example of long-suffering and gentleness and goodness. Some of you ask how can I benefit my family, my church, my neighbors? [00:49:49]

There is an exceeding glory in righteous character or Glory that cannot be approached by any or all of the other glories in this life. Well, I conclude with this thought: many have said, and it is said in many of the confessions that have been written and carried through history. [00:49:49]

I offer you today offered to you that your greatest means of glorifying God is your own righteous character. I don't say it's your only means, but I say your greatest means of glorifying God is your own righteous character as you allow God by his spirit to conform you to the image of Christ. [00:49:49]

May God be glorified by our his Church's exhibition of his holy nature throughout all ages. Just earlier in Chapter 3 of Ephesians, verses 8 through 11, Paul writes this: Paul says unto me who am less than the least of All Saints is this Grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles. [00:49:49]
