#GodRestores
“``And sometimes these things we go through are real and they hurt, and I and and it's okay. Have you have does that imagery strike a chord with anybody? You ever feel like you're I'm just about ready to break off. I'm at the very end of myself, and I'm broken. This one, this righteous one, who sometimes allows suffering into our lives is not one that's just gonna snap you off. He's gonna prop you back up. He's compassionate. He's mercy. He's merciful. He's not one that's that that that's gonna as your life seems to be just about done, he's gonna waft you back to flame. This is our God.”

#SurrenderYourBurden
“I'm not advocating screwing a smile on your face and being fake or hiding behind this just this theology in a way that doesn't mean anything to you. I'm not advocating for that. Here's what I'm advocating for is that we just give it. Realize it's a payload we can't carry, that we would get out from under it and give it to the one who cares for us. Because here's what I know. God is a righteous God. And sometimes things don't seem right to us, and he's God, and we ain't and deal with it. But you know what else he is? He's a good God.”

#EternallyRighteous
“as a Christian, we're in luck. Because according to our scripture, we have a God who is always right. And that's really the definition of God being righteous in all his ways. It means that in the most simplest and basic definition is that God is always acting right. Always. And that's the emphasis, always. As an eternal characteristic or attribute of God, his righteousness is outside of and transcends time. So a better way to say it is, like, in eternity past, wrap your brain around that, was always acting right. God is in the present. This thing we call now is always acting right, and in this thing of eternity future, we'll always be acting right. I mean, what a way to be right, don't you think? I mean, past, present, future, eternally right? Amen? Come on, church. Amen? Amen.”

#JesusSaves
“Maybe right now would be a pretty good time to encourage you. After all, we're in church. Whether someone drug you here, you're checking off a box, or you're an absolute train wreck, or if you're just in the in betweens, I have something to tell you all today. Listen. Listen up. Jesus saves. Jesus saves. I cannot believe how spoiled I am not to wake up every day and say, Jesus saves. He rescues dead people that are dead in their trespasses, and he turns them and saves them and places them in him in the marvelous light. Jesus saves, and he did not save so that bad people could become good people or good people could become great people. He saved dead people so they might be born from a bit above born again and placed into life. Amen? Jesus saves.”

#YieldedVessels
“If we are to make any spiritual growth, if we're to have any victory in this realm, we have to be yielded vessels. Such an easy concept, but we need to be malleable clay if we are to suspect anything from the potter. Amen? We need to be yielded vessels. The second point is gonna be real simple. It's what I entitled, we cannot be a la carte Christians. We can't pick and choose the things about God's righteousness we like and leave the rest on the table. If you haven't learned this before, you don't order off menu with God. We take what he gives us out of his gracious hand. Amen? Those are our two points.”

#NoAlaCarteFaith
“You like forgiveness? Yeah. It's only afforded to you through God's righteousness. And yet, you guessed it. You guessed it. The same righteousness that allows things into your life that don't seem right, and that might help your perspective a little bit. Amen? see, listen. God's righteousness is the same on the mountains and it's same in the valleys. It is. And when we yield and we stop being these a la carte Christians, you might actually and be type of people that are John 15 much fruit people that abide in him and understand that you can't part and parcel God's righteousness. It comes wholesale. It seems if you're like me, you like your cake and eat it too, don't you? Don't lie. You do. I know. It's a bummer. It makes you know what it really makes us? It makes us a very pale and anemic version of authentic Christianity.”

#ImputedRighteousness
“Listen, one of the things we're saying when Jesus brought us from dead men walking to born again Christians placed in him, one of the things you're saying or manifesting or revealing out to the world is that God the father was righteous or right in doing so, in accepting or justifying you through Jesus Christ. You're saying, yeah. I was dead. I was a rebel sinner, but God was right doing this through Jesus Christ. Amen? That's what you're manifesting out without righteousness. The very same righteousness that brings things into your life that don't seem right is linked to your salvation. Without it, you don't have anything. And as we're little icons running around, manifesting out the righteousness of God, he was right to do this. He was right to do this. We need to remember that. We need to remember the state that we were in when he actually did that.”

#RememberYourRescue
“Because there are some amazing miracles in the Bible. Look at the the gospels and look at the first couple chapters of Acts. You're like, woah. There is not a greater miracle in the Bible that I can find where it turns me into the very righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. It doesn't exist. And sometimes I think we just need to get back and remember that Jesus saves you dead sinners, dead in our trespasses. We need to push rewind and remember what we were before we came to him. While you we were yet sinners, the verse said, with all the running and all the wreckage, all the darkness and despair, all the helplessness and hopelessness that we were living out, he offered us salvation. Through faith, we partook in righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That's a miracle.”
77s
#YieldToGod
“That is how you yield to the father's plan when he brings stuff into your life. Amen, you don't have to necessarily like it. You don't actually even necessarily have to understand but you have to drink it. You have to humbly bend your knee, put your flag down, settle it down, set your circus down, and say, Lord, I need you. am your clay. Work me. Please. I don't understand. I need you. Do what only you can do, but I will be a yielded vessel for you. Amen? That's how you yield. And I'm gonna tell you something right now. If you're going through stuff, whatever it may be, things that don't seem right to you, if you do not yield, you are gonna have a very hard time. You're gonna hurt worse than what is in your life. You are gonna beat yourself up, and you will not be helped. You have to start by being sweetly broken to our Lord, yielded vessels. Amen? Amen.”

#ItsNotAboutYou
“And I don't know if it's just this world that we live in or the people that we surround ourselves with that insulate us and tell us that we're super, super, super important that makes us feel like we have this overinflated view that we could somehow Jedi mind trick ourselves out of this trial, out of this thing that doesn't seem right. Like, it's insane if you actually put it on a scale. You'll see how silly it is. And I'm telling you, today, day, and age, with your thumb, you can bring the world to you. You can spin it. You could get something from thousands of miles away in a day and a half. It comes to your inbox. You can be entertained on your feed. It's like, I think we're being trained to think that this world revolves around us. Like, is me world and I'm captain you planet or whatever you say. Right? Like like, it's insane. And if you didn't know this already, maybe there's some young people in here. I don't know. I'm looking. This will be worth the price of admission. It's not about you. And the world does not revolve around you. It doesn't. It certainly doesn't.”

#ReconcilingPainAndFaith
“Right? When he brings stuff in, like broken and strained relationships. Yeah. Like divorce, infidelity, just stuff happens to us, real pain. And you look at it and you go, this doesn't seem right. Doesn't seem right sometimes when you can't say I love you to a loved one because they went on to be with the Lord. Sometimes you look at those things and your brain just spins and you go, this doesn't seem right. Not to mention our health. I mean, diagnoses, MRIs, blood workup, you're looking at them, you're going, this doesn't seem right. Right? That's the rub. Is that we have a hard time reconciling the very righteousness of God in our lives, in our day of trouble. That's the rub. And if you struggle with this, you're in luck today because so do I. And if you probably look to your left or your right, they probably are struggling with it as well.”

#CoveredByChrist
“That's insane. That we were dead in our trespasses? He saved us? And not only we're showing out his righteousness, but his righteousness gets imputed to us in his son, Jesus Christ, that God can actually look at you and I in all of our frailties, in all of our shortcomings, in all of our sin, and look at us through the lens of Jesus Christ as perfectly righteous? Oh, I was expecting a little more out of you guys. That's it. That's the greatest miracle in the Bible. I didn't even get one amen. Amen. That's an amen.”

#SweetlyBroken
“And what I know is unless I'm sweetly broken before him, it's super hard to put that flag down and bend a knee to the one who bought me, whom whom I belong to, from whom I'm his clay. So it's not just this overinflated view. It's also that we have rebel tendencies, and we don't come easily to the king. Nevertheless, we need to be yielded if we are to have any success. It starts there. I'm convinced it starts there. It has to start there. God needs something to work with, and a self directed life cannot be more misdirected. It cannot be. We have to realize we were sought and we were bought and we're his clay, and he needs to to have something to work with. We need to look to him.”

#StruggleWithGodsPlans
“You're like me in the fact that there's a rub. I have no problem with God's righteousness when others get their comeuppance. Right? I have no problem with God reconciling that God acts right when I read the stories of old. When I see probably 250,000 Egyptian sold soldiers being swallowed up by the Red Sea as God parted it so his people could get away and make that great exodus out of bondage from Egypt, I have no problem with him closing it in and killing 250 Egyptians. I'm like, yeah. God was right. He was right to do that. I got no problem with that. Here's where I have a problem, is when God brings stuff into my life that doesn't seem right from my perspective. That's the rub.”

#GodHoldsItAll
“And he's so powerful, he holds it all together. Amen? That's our God. That's how awesome our God is. And I don't know about you, if when I put myself on the other side of that scale, I'm not holding the earth together. I'm not holding the world together. I can barely hold my life together, my day together. Sometimes when I go to work on Monday, if it gets a little sideways early on, I have to start talking trash to myself if I'm like, Dan, you can do five more days. I think you can make it. Like, I don't know if I'm gonna make my day, let alone my week. And sometimes we just need to put God almighty and you, yourself in your day of trouble on that scale, and watch what happens. It hits so hard.”
54s
#RepentFromRebellion
“Look, I know yielding's hard. I think in part because we have this overinflated view of ourselves that we think somehow we can run the universe, that somehow we all can get Ryanitis, all of that. That's part of it. You know what the other part is, I think? Is that we have rebel tendencies as sinners. In the end of the day, we were saved out of rebellion, that we all fly the rebel flag of independence. And when you do that long enough in the face of the king, you do not come willing to his throne. Am I speaking to anybody here? This is me. We wave that flag right in his face, the face of the king who sought you and he bought you, and we wave it right in his face.”
49s
#KeepFaithSimple
“So first, we wanna be yielded vessels. And more than that, we have to be yielded vessels. Amen? And sometimes I was just talking to my friend, James Dennis, the other night. He he was saying, you know what? Just the simplicity of the Christian life. You know, we make this thing so complicated sometimes. And I just I I just wanna give you a kiss today. Right? Keep it simple, stupid. You know, k I s s? Real simple. Because Jesus said stuff like, if you just have childlike faith, we make things so complicated. A lot of times, we don't have spiritual spiritual growth and victory because we can't even yield. We can't even reconcile in our little minds who's bigger, God or you?”

#JesusSavedMe
“And I just can see him now in my mind's eye. My dad, he he he said he just jumped up and he ran outside because no one was home. He started knocking on doors. Did you know that Jesus saves? Door shuts. Did you know Jesus saved? Door shuts. He's like, no one wanted to hear about Jesus. It just blew him away that nobody wanted to hear about his salvation story. Jesus saves. Amen? Amen. And if we can't wreck I'm just telling you, this has helped me so much. In my valley times, when you're wrestling with things and you're you're wondering how to reconcile things that that that that don't seem right. You're you're like, I'll tell you one thing that's right, though. Jesus saved me. Amen? It'll help your attitudes and perspectives for the better. Amen?”

#WholeRighteousnessOnly
“The second point is that we cannot be a la carte Christians if we wanna reconcile any of these things in our lives. If we wanna be able to take God's righteousness and apply it every day, all day, even in the middle of our trouble, we cannot be a la carte Christians. We can't pick and choose the part of God's righteousness we like and leave the rest on the table. And to drive this point home, to stimulate your mind and maybe answer a few questions for you, This is information like tools that I grab out of a toolbox when I'm in trouble. Your righteousness listen to me right now. Your righteousness is linked to two very amazing things. And if we're brought to memory, you might be able to take the other stuff you don't like, and one of them is your salvation.”

#YouAreTheBible
“It's it's it's not what Jesus saved us for. And you know who's real good at sniffing out this hypocrisy? That we say we're saved, we like forgiveness, but we don't like anything that might actually grow us or hurt us or drive us into more growth that prunes us and cleans us and moves us. It it makes us hypocrites, but you know who's really good at sniffing it out? It's the world. Whether you like it or not, people, there's the world is out there and they have this antenna. It's very sensitive to this. Whether you like it or not, the only Bible or the only Jesus people will see is you. And it's a sobering fact that a lot of people don't read the Bible because of you and because of me, in part because we're acting like a bunch of hypocrites.”
