28s
“Jesus gives us these rules, these these, guidelines because he cares about us. And he wants our community to function well together. He wants us to be a witness to what is possible in the world.”
61s
“He gives us so many gifts. He gives us his very life, and he wants us to be good stewards of all that he's given us. He wants us, to live in a way that when people look at us, they say, wow, that's the kind of community I wanna be a part of. He comes teaching us this simple pattern, simple to understand, hard to follow, that we might have life and life in its fullness. That we might have life together in its fullness until the day we see him face to face and our cup is beyond full overflowing and we understand the depth of the forgiveness that God has offered us in the midst of life that we've lived.”
50s
“He says, when somebody has hurt you, go to them, talk to them privately, and explain what they have done. Hope to earn them back in a reconciled form. So he wants the hurting to stop. Jesus does. He doesn't want us to pretend the hurting never happened and just kind of, nurture resentment for a day or year or a lifetime. He doesn't want us to go and complain to other people about it. Go and talk to the person who has injured you.”
