#LiveInFreedom
“And when we understand that, instead of trying to earn our freedom, we can just live in freedom. You already can't serve enough, give enough, or do enough to earn Christ's sacrifice. He already went to the cross. His blood was already shed. He already hung there with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He was already placed in the tomb, and he already was risen from the dead so that we can find life in him. And instead of trying to earn our victory, earn our freedom, earn what what he has given to us, instead we can just live in the fact that Christ has already conquered the enemy. He's already conquered the grave. He's already conquered sin, and we can live in that reality.”

#RedeemedNotEarned
“The lie of the enemy tells you that you're not enough. You need to earn your place. You've gotta prove your worth. But the truth of God's word is that he has already redeemed you. That gets into the last point this morning. although the enemy has a strategy with a tactic to deceive and a target as our identity, what we can rest in is Christ's triumph. What we can live in is that we didn't earn our freedom to begin with. It wasn't based on our merit. It wasn't based on our ability. It wasn't based on how good we were. It wasn't based on actions that we did. What our freedom is based on is on Christ's victory that he has already won.”

#VictoryInChrist
“And that's like where we are at when we're in Christ. We already won because Christ already won the victory for us. We don't have to try to earn it. He already won the game. All we have to do is just live inside of his victory. Live knowing that if the son has set us free, we are free indeed.”

#IdentityInGodsImage
“That that really is where I I our identity lies. That our identity lies in the fact that we are created in God's image. And and what happens is when we take on that, that that image, when we take on the image of God as our identity, it begins to push away all of the identities that the enemy tries to place on us. Because what he'll try to do is he'll try to give us an identity. You're anxious. You're depressed. You're not good enough. You're addicted. You're living in sin. He'll try to place all of these things on us, all of this baggage on us, all of these identities that are not true to who we are because the truth of God's word is that we were created in the image of God, and so we can reject all of those false labels.”

#GodsWordGuardrails
“Ultimately, the word of God provides guardrails for us. It keeps us from the distortion of the truth that the enemy tries to present to us. So Satan's tactic that he operates in deception. He also has a target. And Satan's target, his original deception targets our identity. His tactic is to deceive us, and his target is our identity. He wants to tempt us to strive for a higher status, blinding us to the truth that we are already created in God's image. That's some good news this morning, that you are created in the image of God.”

#PermissionNotProhibition
“See, God gave Adam and Eve permission, but what Satan did is he reframed God's permission as prohibition. What Satan says to Eve is, God say, you shall not eat from any of the trees in the garden? Now, if we remember back to what I just said, we would understand that God did not say that at all. In fact, he said the exact opposite. Eat from all the trees in the garden except for this one tree. And what what God intended to be something that was permission for Adam and Eve, the enemy deceived Adam and Eve by turning it into a prohibition.”

#DidGodReallySay
“Every strategy has a tactic, and Satan's tactic is this, his kingdom operates in deception. Satan's tactic is to deceive us. It's at the heart of the question that he asks Eve. Did God really Did God really say? See, Satan's tactic is to deceive us into thinking that his lies are the truth. What he wants us to do is he wants us to question if what God has spoken is actually true or if there is something that's different from what God has said to us.”

#CounterfeitTruths
“And in that moment, I discovered something. That although the container may look the same, although this the the item inside may look the same, it was a very different product. And this is really how the enemy tries to deceive us. He tries to take what is the truth of God's word and to twist it and to distort it in a way that we will take it, we'll consume it, we'll bring it in, and we'll begin to believe it despite it being a lie. There's a subtle nature to deception. See, what the enemy does, he's he he doesn't just outright lie to us. He tries to lay the groundwork whenever we're in Christ, when we're a believer, he tries to lie lay the groundwork by feeding us the word of God, but not in a way that we should be receiving it.”
