#PutItToDeath
“You need to put it off. You need to put it to death. What is it that is in your life that is entangling you and the more that you move forward, the tighter it's getting and a fall is coming? What is it? Listen, have you received the grace that Jesus came to make available to you? Have you received the grace? You are not gonna swerve into better circumstances and a better life. You're just sitting there holding out that I think it'll get better. My luck is about to change. No. A better opportunity is not gonna fall in your lap better than what Jesus came to do for you.”

#FromLukewarmToOnFire
“This is the season that God in his kindness is bringing heat to bear in your life because he's tired of you being lukewarm and indifferent. He needs you on fire because a watching world is in desperate need of something that is different. Live out the word. Don't be a hearer only. This would be like a student going to a class and auditing it. In other words, you're hearing the information but there's no accountability. You know why? No test. No test.”

#AngerDoesntBringRighteousness
“But anger will not produce the desired results. In fact anger can often blind us to the truth. It can often blind us to the truth. James is telling us that that's not the aim. The aim is the righteousness of God. And what is the righteousness of God? It's behavior that is pleasing to God. And James is not prohibiting all anger, but this is what James knows. And man, I know it as well that usually when I get anger, it doesn't lead to some type of righteousness. It leads to some kind of not righteous.”

#IntentionalTransformation
“You need to understand that transformation, transformation here will not happen by accident. It will not happen by accident. It requires us being intentional and that brings us to our first truth. First truth that will transform if we know it but also do it. And it's this, real faith, real faith does not happen by accident. Look at verse 21. We learn here that we must take action, that we must be intentional if we desire to see our faith grow.”
