Paul opens 1 Thessalonians with a question that still lands close to home: what does it look like to follow Jesus in a world that does not always follow him? Jesus gets the final word over sin, suffering, cancer, and even death. Paul calls believers to ask: What is faith producing? What is love costing? What is hope helping endure? Ready people do not just believe. Ready people become.
