#GospelSaves
“No amount of homes, no amount of food, drink, or clothing is ever going to save a person from eternal hell. It is good to meet physical needs, but the greatest need in our world today is a spiritual one. People need to have their broken relationship with God restored. They need their sins forgiven. They need salvation. And, salvation comes only through one message and that message is the gospel. It is the power of salvation to everyone who believes. But for people to be saved by that gospel, they must hear that gospel. To hear that gospel, we must be preaching that gospel. And for that gospel to be preached, we must be sending people. Jesus sent 72 to preach it. He sent us to preach it.”

#PrepareForHisComing
“Pay attention here. So they were entering towns before Jesus came and basically saying the king is coming trying to prepare people for his arrival. That's exactly what we are called to do. That is exactly what we are doing because the king is coming again and according to the word of God, he's coming like a thief in the night. And I've asked you this before, when is the last time a thief called you to tell you I'm breaking in about 03:03 in the morning? His coming is going to be sudden. The gospels tell us his coming is gonna be seismic. Revelation tells us every eye is going to see when he comes. And before he suddenly comes, he has sent us out to ready people for his coming because the sad reality is there will be no second chances at salvation once the savior comes again.”

#RescueWithUrgency
“```In the eighteen hundreds, there were communities along dangerous coastlines where volunteer lifeboat crews stayed ready at all hours of the day and night to save people. When the alarms would sound, these workers wouldn't debate whether the storm was too severe or whether the people in the water needed to be rescued. They launched into these treacherous waters with compassion for people, with urgency knowing that every minute mattered because lives were at stake. Christians lives are at stake. Our savior is coming. The world is perishing. He's empowered us with his spirit, entrusted us with his message, with compassion for people and urgency knowing every minute matters. We need to launch into the treacherous waters of this world and reach as many as we can before the savior comes again because he is coming.”

#PrayForLaborers
“After telling them all this, he said to them, the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest. Christians, evangelism is spiritual warfare. And we had better be utilizing spiritual weapons, and one of those weapons we should be wielding is the weapon of prayer. Yes, the mission field is massive. The enemy is working hard against us. The gospel workers are minimal, and we need to rely on the Lord.”

#SpiritPoweredMission
“The mission was impossible for the apostles. It's impossible for all disciples to accomplish in our own strength, it relies on the power of God. So Jesus empowered the disciples with his spirit to accomplish the mission he was sending them to. Christians, I know the mission field is massive, and the mission workers are minimal. I know the task seems impossible for us to accomplish, and it is for us to accomplish in our strength, but praise God, you and I have been empowered with the same spirit as the apostles to carry out the mission that the Lord has sent us on.”

#ProclaimTheGospel
“Well, the mission still requires the proclamation of a message, That message is that Jesus died for our sins. He was buried and on the third day he rose from the grave. First Corinthians fifteen three and four. This is the gospel and we must proclaim this message. You're like, well, is obvious. Well, I don't know that it is. You see, there's a lot of work happening in the world today being done by Christians that we call mission work, but a lot of that work is happening absent of gospel proclamation. I mean, we even have a saying now that nobody actually knows where it's coming from, but it says, preach the gospel at all times when necessary, use words. That's just bad theology. That's bad teaching. My friends, building a house for a person, giving them food and clothing, giving them a well to drink from, these are all good things. And while they may be a bridge for you to give the gospel to them, if you do not share the gospel with them, Those people got a home, they got some clothes, they got a well, but they're still headed to hell.”

#MissionForEveryDisciple
“He gave them a mission. This commission wasn't just for the 11, it was for every disciple of Christ. If you have repented of your sins and have turned in faith to trusting in Jesus who died and rose again, you're a disciple of Christ, and you have been given a great responsibility, and that is to proclaim the good news. The mission is not just for a select few, it is for me and for you. I hope you will remember that as you think about whether or not you will join us on mission.”

#CompassionForTheLost
“If you were to ever read through any of the gospels, you'd notice multiple times we are told that Jesus looked on the crowds with compassion. Here in these verses, with compassion in his heart, not desiring any to perish, but all come to repentance, Jesus sent the 72 to preach the gospel, prepare people for his coming. Compassion moved him. Compassion for the lost should move us as well. I'm hoping this morning, as you were reminded of the massive amount of humanity that is moving toward divine judgment, that God will move your hearts with compassion for lost people, compassion that looks just like God's.”
