#GraceOverMerit
“``This is our God. This is the one that he says return faithless Israel for I am merciful even in the act that they were actively sinning, it was in the mid of betrayal that God is saying, no, return home. I am here available for you. This is grace over merit. This is grace over merit. It's something that cannot be earned. We can't earn this grace. God is just making it available because of who he is and his character and he cannot lie or deny himself. And he has this love for us that continues as the pull. He just wants to be with his people. He wants to be with his children.”

#RepentAndTurn
“If you ever have had somebody tell you that they're sorry and you could tell that they're just saying I'm sorry but they don't really mean it because they're not turning from their behavior. Right. They're continuing. It's like actions speak louder than words. You can say it. You can say it all you want but I'm seeing the fruit of your behavior. Saying sorry isn't enough. We have to repent and turn. Repent and turn from our sins.”

#AuthenticFaith
“Where have we been faking it? Where have we been performing faithfulness when our heart is wandering? I'm gonna ask that question again and let it sit here for a second. Where have you been faking it, performing faithfulness while your heart is wandering? I've been there. It's sometimes easy to be faithful in what seems like it's faithful and continuing to show up. Again, hear me. I'm not saying don't show up. Keep showing up. But if you're showing up and your heart is far from him and your heart is not in the right place That's good. He's asking us right now to take some moments just to look inwardly. Say, God, yeah, where have I been like Israel? Where have I been where I'm faking, I'm not sincere, I'm not being genuine, my heart is far away from you.”

#RadicalMercy
“a radical mercy. God is breaking the human standard, human standard of of no return. We talked about this last week. In our human capacity to understand, we as people would be so quick to cancel. We'd be so quick to say, I'm done. Especially in the midst of adultery, in the midst if we have a partner, if we have any relationship, and they're in the midst of the act, and yet we would still go to them and say, come home. I'm merciful. I will forgive you. That is unthought of. That is a crazy thought. But no, God is saying in the midst, I'm doing it. He's not waiting for Israel to clean themselves up yet. He's not waiting for us to to come in here all polished and having it all together. He's not. He's saying even in the midst of your struggle, even in the midst of the things that keep you from me, even in the midst of the pits that you're getting yourselves into, I will go down there with you and I will pull you out because you belong to me.”

#ScriptureInTheHeart
“the meditation of scripture, if it's done right, it enters your heart. Yeah. And it doesn't necessarily matter if you have the right words to come out. If it's in your heart and it's being downloaded and there's change and transformation, that's what counts and that's what matters. It doesn't matter if you can Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Many people can do it. False teachers can do it. Pastors that are in sin and and have are are wicked and and are still using the pulpit can can do it too. They know scripture. The enemy Satan knows scripture better than every single one of us. But when the scripture is hidden in your heart, it's the hiddenness of the scripture. It's the hiddenness inside the changes that causes us to not wanna sin against him.”

#StopHiding
“He's not demanding perfection. Our God is not a God that says, you have to do it perfectly because that's never gonna be possible. Right. But he demands people to stop hiding. To stop hiding. Like in the garden, he says where are you? He was looking for them. He wasn't He knew that they had done wrong, but he wasn't he wasn't going to to to banish them and and punish them. He was like, where are you? We were we were close. We were intimate. You were with me. We had relationship. Where did you go? This is our God.”

#UnchangingMercy
“But the truth is that he paid a price. He prayed a hefty price. we see this God of Israel. We see this God of the old testament was merciful even then. He is not bound by time. He's the same God. The same God yesterday, today, and forever. This mercy that was shown in this chapter and the mercy shown at Calvary are the same mercy. They're just at different points of the story that God was writing.”

#PursuedByGod
“He is a God that is initiating saying, hey, yes, you've done this and yes, even in it, although you are not you have not turned you have not turned back yet. You are still pursuing after your own pursuits. But even in the midst of that, I'm coming after you. I'm saying I'm merciful. I'm asking you come home. This is the Lord our God in whom we we have that same availability that he's saying you have access to me. I am the God of hope. Even though I have this message that is that is a hard message, I am not leaving you without hope.”
