67s
“``False prophets are a real thing. We are here today because we want to be a part of what god is doing. We want to follow Jesus. Doing that is as simple as giving a cold cup of water to a thirsty person. It's hard for us to believe that it is that simple, but it is. And to listen to somebody who calls an empty cup a cup of water is not really listening to god. To be fooled into thinking that darkness is light is not listening to god.”
51s
“And so as we celebrate this semi quincentennial this week, as we shoot off our fireworks, as we do our picnics, as we hang out with family and friends, remember that when we say god bless America, we are not saying something simple because when god truly blesses America, it's when everyone has a meal and everyone has a place to live and everyone is respected for who they are and what they bring to this great country of ours.”
47s
“It's not about behaviors. It's about hunger. It's about righteousness and showing the world the light of Christ. We live in very dark times. No doubt about that. But talking about how dark they are is not gonna make them better. Talking about how terrible the world is is not gonna make the world better. When we misconstrue war as peace, then we are not listening to what god is trying to teach us.”
56s
“But talking about how dark they are is not gonna make them better. Talking about how terrible the world is is not gonna make the world better. When we misconstrue war as peace, then we are not listening to what god is trying to teach us. It is simple. So simple, it's hard because often the simplest things are the hardest things for us to do. It is black and white. It is good and evil. It is darkness and light. We have to decide whose whose side we're on.”
