#PursueJesusNotJustAvoiding
“``They were so focused on what they shouldn't do that their mind was just captivated with what shouldn't be that they didn't do what they should have done. Here's what we do many times, we spend all our life trying to avoid the wrong and never pursuing that which is right, and when your mind is consumed with that which is wrong, whether it is to enjoy it or to avoid it, can I tell you there's a problem? Your mind's consumed with evil. We must fall in love with Jesus and pursue him, and if we pursue him, we'll put off those old things. We'll put off the anger and the malice. If when I'm dealing with somebody and maybe our conversation how it is going the way that I would want it to go, if I just spend my time going, I'm not gonna get angry, I'm not gonna get angry. You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna pop myself up and I'm gonna get angry. That's what's gonna happen. But if I can remember that I represent Jesus Christ, it changes things.”

#BeLikeJesusToday
“In those times in which which maybe I begin to think of myself more highly than I ought to think, and I I remind myself of the fact of who Jesus is and who I am, it brings me back to where I ought to be. The focus is not on I don't wanna get angry today, the focus is I wanna be like Jesus today. Now, I'm gonna tell you, I fall short, we all do. But can I tell you, if we don't aim to live like Jesus, we're never gonna come close?”

#SpeechRevealsHeart
“Our mouths by the way reveal our hearts. Jesus Christ himself said, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. If we've been changed, if God's changed us, if God is molding us to his image, can I tell you our speech should change? The gospel should affect how we speak, not only when we're happy, but also when we're mad. The truth is, when you're happy, you're more controlling of your spirit, and you're more controlling of your mouth. It's when we're mad oftentimes that reveals really where our heart's at. When we get angry, how do we speak?”

#SmallLiesDestroyTrust
“Lying belongs to the old man. The old life was shaped by deception, and Satan is referred to in the new testament as the father of lies. So, deception belongs to the old man, but I want you to understand how important even small lies are. Lying is based on deception and it destroys trust. Here's something about trust. It can take you a long time to build it, and I do think we need to understand in our relationships, trust takes time. Sometimes we'll say, I just, you know, you meet somebody and it's not long, like, just want them to trust me, and it's good. You want them to trust you, but realize this, trust does take time. Relationships take time to build, and don't expect it to happen super quickly. It takes time, it takes experience, but understand this, a lie can destroy trust just like that.”
