#FaithRefinedByTrials
“I I I don't I don't I don't love the tool but I trust the hands that the tool is in and since it's in the hands of a good god, I trust that even when I'm going through pain, suffering, and trials, god has a good purpose for my life and he is doing a good work in me and on me through it. Particularly based on the passage that I lifted for our consideration this morning. Our faith is refined, and the sterling nature of our faith is developed in the difficulties we face. When we face those difficulties with hope and trust in God.”

#GodIsWorkingThroughIt
“don't find it strange when you find yourself going through something. But recognize that even though it might be down right now, god is up to something. hallelujah. God is up to something. He's perfecting me. He's purifying me. He is preparing me for himself. that's okay. I might be in the middle of it. I might be being prepared, but I'm not gonna hang my head down. I'm not gonna give up. not gonna throw in the towel because I know that he's the end of my story. Oh, yes. He is.”

#GrievedNotDefeated
“If I've gotta be grieved, I'm not going to be defeated. Going to be discouraged from staying with god. Life might be down but god is up to something. God is doing a special work in my life and I don't know who needs to hear that this morning but will you help me preach this thing and just help you touch your neighbor and say, life might be down but god is up to something. Come on and say it like you mean it. Life might be down but God is up to something. God is doing something good. God is doing something great. God is doing something miraculous. God is doing something that only God can do. And since God is doing something, I'm a change my perspective on what I'm going through.”

#TheologyMustAllowSuffering
“You you know, some people are suffering, and you would be able to withstand and endure if you could simply reconcile the tension of being in a trial in the first place. That there there are some people your greatest struggle reconciling the fact that you are enduring suffering in the first place. I I I mean, I can't wrap my mind around being where I am, going through what I am going through because I have faith. Uh-huh. Am a child of god. I serve the lord and I serve his people and so for some people, it is difficult for you to reconcile who you are and what you are doing in light of what you are experiencing. And the misery then is disorienting for you because your theology has not left any room for suffering.”
