#CovenantComfort
“They bring cheer to the weary soul because the answer to the cry of the psalmist is not found in in changed circumstances. The the the solution is not, oh, now now everything is better. What we notice is that the solution is found in the never changing relationship the psalmist has with his creator. That relationship is grounded in the covenant that god has made with his people. Therefore, when our hearts are overwhelmed, we run to the lord because he is the one who sees and hears and knows what we need. This is the god of the Bible.”

#GodMakesAllRight
“So that final reminder is that god will make all things right in his time. Frankly, that's the thread that we've seen woven all throughout this whole Psalm, right? God is gonna make right what needs to be made right in his time, not mine. It's all gonna come together eventually. You see, the Psalmist, he begins crying out to god because of that tension of his experiences and what is true. He then reminds us that god sees and hears and knows all things and that our hope is anchored in god's covenant nature. Showing that he remains faithful to his people.”
