#LivingWaterNotWalls
“But as I read the article, I was preparing Psalm 63, and I was struck with this thought, as great as the Hoover Dam is, if there's no water, it's just a wall in the desert. As David evaluated his life, he recognized that he could enjoy the praise of men. He can enjoy the luxury that the world offered. He could experience all the pleasures that the world could afford. But he said those things are just walls in the desert without the living water of God to nourish my soul.”

#PraiseBreedsPraise
“I think it's tempting at times to to read some of these passages and think, well, you know, if if God blessed my life like David, then sure, I would praise him. I mean, if God enabled me to do incredible things like kill Goliath the giant, well, then I would praise him. If God blessed me to the extent that I became the king of a nation, of course, I would bless the Lord. But I would submit to you that why David's praise is so vibrant is that the more he praised, the more he wanted to praise.”
