#RefugeInGod
“See, if we can learn to look at god instead of the problem, our lives will change dramatically. See, a refuge is a place that we run to when the danger is real. You don't need a refuge if life is easy. You need a refuge because life is hard, and the existence of a refuge doesn't mean the storm isn't real. See, David understood this, Moses understood this, the sons of Korah understood this, and every believer that has ever walked to a deep valley has discovered this. Our refuge is not the absence of trouble. Our refuge is the presence of god. Yes. To be inside that city of god holding on to him.”

#StrengthForTheStorm
“See, sometimes I've prayed this. I know you have too. Lord, take this away. We prayed that. Lord, take it away. Lord, just just get rid of it. Lord, just get it out. Just just just do something with it. Just get it away from me, god. We've we've we've all done that and and and sometimes god in his mercy and grace, he does that but but other times, he doesn't. But you know what he does instead? Instead of taking it away, he strengthens you for it. He gives you something that you didn't have so you you can stand through it. So, he he he doesn't take anything away from you. He adds to what you already have and he make, he helps you to understand that you are far stronger than you ever thought possible. That there's more going on in you than you realized. There's more to your life with Christ than just simply having a home in heaven. Amen. There's more going on here. He's given you his spirit so that you would be his witness in a dying world that is in desperate need of hope. Amen.”

#SeekHisPresence
“I learned in my Christian walk as I was growing up. There was a time where I sought the hand of god instead of the face of god. Jesus. Jesus. I wanted what god had to give me but I wasn't that interested in his presence. can't be the only one. I wanted I wanted the the the blessing But see what I found out is is is the more I went down the road and the closer I got to God, I found out that the blessing was his presence. Amen. That the only thing that mattered was the presence of God. And when you go back and you do a biblical study of the presence of God, every battle turned on the presence of god. Every famine ended in the presence of god. Every disease stopped in the presence of god. It was incredible. Every, the presence of god was everything. And somehow, we run by that and we don't begin to understand how significant it is to our lives as the people of god to remain in the presence of god.”

#KeepPraying
“we go back looking for a natural answer. We look to ourselves, and we look to all the things that are familiar to us. And what we've gotta learn to do is we've got to learn to look to God for the for the issues that are going on in our life and trust him even when it doesn't make any sense, even when it doesn't look like anything is gonna happen and to pray anyway when you say, pastor, I'm praying but nothing's changing. No, something's changing. You just gotta keep praying. Have confidence that god hears your prayer. Understand that the heaven is open for business twenty four seven. There's not a time in the world that god is gonna say, hey, I'm busy right now. Don't pray. That's never gonna happen. Pray. Just like Hezekiah, he took the problem. He identified it. He laid it out before god and said, god, this is the problem. And if you don't help us, we're all gonna die.”

#GodRedemsFamilies
“And so when I when I read something like that and I see the sons of Korah, it makes me wanna know who was Korah. Who was that? And and so if if we if if we follow that story back, we can go back to numbers 26 and we can find this incredible story about a man named Korah that rebelled against Moses in the wilderness. And because of his rebel rebellion, god brought judgment on him and he caused the Earth to open up and swallow him whole in his tent. Right in front of everybody. And Cora's gone. But but what we find out later is that god preserved his sons. And so out of that rebellion, god creates worship leaders that write songs. What a what a what a magnificent story that bloodline, that family line didn't end with the rebellion. God preserved it and created a group of people that went on to worship and exalt god. What a story and what I want to tell you is wherever you landed in your family, that's not the end of the story. I'm so glad that my story didn't end with my father. Come on.”

#FinishedOnTheCross
“Some of the finest words that's ever been uttered in all of scripture was it is finished. When he finished it, he did it on the he did it. He did it. He did it. Can you understand that he did it? And see somehow or another, we think we're bringing something to the table, but it's not. It's not us. It's him. And where we begin to find our hope and our healing is at the foot of the cross standing under that flood of the blood that is washing away the sin that is killing me. That's where we find our hope. That's where we find our encouragement, and that's where life ultimately begins to bud is out of that blood saturated ground that I stand on because I'm empty of myself and I can't do anything else but except what he's done for me.”

#MeetGodAtTheEnd
“See, eventually, everyone's one of us, we discover that our strength is not enough. We finally get to the end of our self, that's when we meet God, just so you know. Because God doesn't step in between you and your ego. You and your pride. You and your abilities. You and your resources. He's gonna sit back and he's gonna wait till you exhaust everything because it's at that point, no one can get the glory for it except god. Yes. Because he doesn't ever want you to think you can save yourself.”

#SackclothAndPrayer
“And so what does Hezekiah do? When you're facing overwhelming odds, you're you're facing something that you cannot humanly overcome. What does he do? He says he took that threatening letter and he put on sackcloth, and he went into the temple and he laid that out before and said, god, this is what they say they're gonna do to us. And if you don't do something about it, they're probably gonna succeed. And so god, we beseech you at this moment. We call out to you, god. Oh god, save us.”
