#GodPursuesUs
“We all wander off. We all get it wrong. We all have moments in these dark valleys when we give into fear over faith. We all have moments where we believe the lies of our culture over the promises of God. We all have moments when we choose to trust in something or someone other than the Lord as our shepherd. But in these moments, when we walk away, God does not abandon us. comes after us. The goodness and love of God pursue us, that follows us, chase us down even when we are running full tilt in the opposite direction. God comes after us.”

#KnownAndLoved
“And we are sheep that are known and loved by God. And Jesus knows that the only way to forgive us of our sins, to free us from fear and shame, and to bring us back into a life with him is to die so that we might live, so that we might dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

#GodWithUsInDarkness
“Sometimes we're gonna find ourselves in dark valleys. Sometimes we might be in these valleys because our trust was misplaced. We put our trust in a leader, a politician, a pastor even, who who let us down. We put our trust in our our financial stability, our four zero one k's, our investments, and then the bottom fell out and the the bubble popped. Dark valleys. But here, David is not trusting that God is just gonna lead him around all of these dark valleys. But instead, he trusts that God is going to be present with him in the midst of them. So he doesn't have to be afraid because God is with him in the darkness.”
