#FaithNotHills
“``You can check out because god never does. They were surrounded by hills not just geographical or physical that talking spiritual as well. They they were surrounded by hills. And they had to ask themself the question, where is the help coming from? Where am I going to trust? Who gets my faith? Because I've got news for you. You walk up into those hills and and you make that offering. You you do that shrine. You engage in this. You get. That's an act of faith. Who or what gets my faith today? am I trusting today?”

#ProvidenceAlwaysActive
“There is a very real and very comforting component in all of this. The comfort comes not just from knowing that there is help from God. It's it's not just that like at the eleventh hour, god is going to come riding over the hills and and save us. That's not what this song is talking about. Comfort comes in knowing that there is always an unending supply of help. Knowing that God is not reactionary. Oh oh, angels gather around. Kyle has messed things up again. We're at DEFCON four. We gotta go. It's not reactive. His providence, his help, it's active.”

#SavedAndSustained
“If you are born again, if you are saved by the grace of our lord Jesus Christ, takes you out that horrible thing is taking you up to be with him forever and ever and ever. That's the taking out you're afraid of. That's the taking out that you're worried about. is the providence of god who's painting a sunrise right now and watching over you and I at this moment. is the song that we sing.”

#GodPaintsSunrises
“The sun rose for us at 05:41AM this morning. Right now, the sun is currently rising at twenty degrees south latitude and forty six degrees west longitude. Right now regions of Southeastern Brazil are experiencing the sunrise created by God himself. God is at this very moment and every moment making a new sunrise. So here's why I'm telling you this. If he micromanages this thing down to that, where every single second, a sunrise is being created all over creation. How much more does he care for you? How much more interest does he have in you? there is a tragic beauty in this. The beauty is what god does every moment of every day before we got here and long after we leave. That's the beauty.”

#HopeInGodAlone
“He is calling the people back saying to them, open your eyes and look around. The promises of the hills. It's an illusion. It doesn't come to fruition. Come back to the God who saves. You faithless one be faithful to your God because he is faithful to you over and over and over again in the life of Israel in the old testament. They could look back and they could marvel at the providence of God in their life. The working of God in their life. Oftentimes this would come by looking back. God was really there and he worked all of that out so much better than I had meticulously planned. He took care of me far more than I could ever imagine. There is no hope in the hills. There is hope in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob alone. That is where our help comes from.”

#RememberGodsProvidence
“When you look back over your life, from then till now, warts and all, you will see You have to see. God's providence was there the way. Whether it is two horses shot out from under you and four bullets passing so close to you they tore holes in your jackets and left the native Americans just marveling how that happened. Whether it's you in your prayer Where does your help come from? You know where your help comes from. So if you need help, if you need anything, you don't head for the hills. You look to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who has always been there and always helped you.”

#GodOurGuardian
“Trouble comes to us. Three times in this song, God is referred to by his personal name Yahweh. Eight times he is spoken of as guardian or one who guards. His help is not reactive. He is active. So in this song, we read about three instance instances of of danger. But in the same Psalm of only eight verses, eight times god has spoken of as our guardian who guards, who watches over us actively.”

#TheLordSustains
“I laid down and went into an unconscious state. I was not making decisions for myself. I was not watching over myself. I I was not constantly reminding myself to breathe. I I I was not like out on the perimeter making sure that that that no evil forces would come in and and harm me or mine. I lay down and slept. I checked out into an unconscious state but I woke again. Why? Because the lord sustained took care of me.”
