“``Here's what you need to know. You're not God. His way is always right. His way is always firm, and his thoughts are so much higher than ours. He sees the whole timeline of our lives when we only see in this moment. We all we all have learned that hindsight is what? 20. Twenty twenty. We can look back on all that he has done and see in clarity what he has done, but we do not know what lies ahead of us, but he does. And he has called us to trust him, to act on his word before you fully understand it. How can we do that?”

“So here's the big idea that I want us to put on the forefront of our hearts and our minds as we answer this question, why does god deserve my first? The big idea is giving god our first demonstrates that we trust his heart, his wisdom, and his provision. That giving god our first demonstrates that we trust his heart, his wisdom, and his provision because we don't wanna be a people of mere lip service, do we? We don't want to be a people who say one thing but in our hearts, we don't really believe it because the reality is what's in our hearts will ultimately come out in the way that we act and live amongst others. When we are called to hard things, do we in faith trust god at his word to do the things that he says that he will do to provide for us in the mountain peak seasons and in the midst of the valleys? Do we trust god? Because when you go through hardship, your faith will become tested and it will come it will be it will identify exactly what's really in your heart.”

“That we are going through the perpetual motions of trying to find satisfaction in places that we will never find satisfaction. But when we trust and put our trust, our belief, our faith in the heart of god, then we know that god's desires is to prosper us according to his truth and according to his way. What we have learned over the last week or two is that before we seek god's hand, we must first trust his heart. Before we seek the provision of our heavenly father, do we know what we're even asking for or why we're asking for it? Do we understand the father's heart is not to bless us merely with financial gain and stuff but rather that our hearts would first be made right to be able to receive those things as good stewards.”

“But I have a bag mentality and wanna keep it on the shelf. And many of us in our lives, we operate with a bag mentality. With the time, the talents, and the treasures that god has uniquely given to you to utilize so that not only you know him deeper, not only your household knows him deeper so that others might come to know him more deeply as well. He wants you to take the bag to pour the seeds out and allow him to raise it up in the way that only he can make it come up.”
