God’s will is for His people to prosper in every area, and money cannot stay outside His rule. Money often becomes the last stronghold of self-rule, but anything and everything yielded to God becomes blessed. Aaron’s dead rod came alive, blossomed, and produced almonds because it was brought into God’s presence. Everything held back and separated from God stays under the curse, but everything brought under His command receives His blessing.
Deuteronomy 28 shows God’s plan of more than enough. The blessing comes upon God’s people and overtakes them as they obey His voice. God commands blessing on the storehouse, on the work of the hands, on the wallet, on the purse, and on every place connected to His covenant. God is not trying to make His children poor while He lives in abundance. God is a good Father, and relationship with Him gives access to all that He is and all that He has.
Prosperity is not automatic, but it is available. Obedience places a person on the blessing side of God’s covenant, while disobedience opened the door for curse, poverty, sickness, division, and death to enter the world. Christ came into that cursed condition and redeemed God’s people from the curse by becoming a curse on the tree. Christ, though rich, became poor so that His people through His poverty might become rich.
Second Corinthians 9 shows how God’s provision works in the earth: seedtime and harvest. God supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, then increases the store of seed and enlarges the harvest of righteousness. Tithes and offerings are not money thrown away in church; they are seed put into God’s hands. Seed changes the way giving is seen, because a cheerful giver knows that God is able to bring a harvest to that seed.
The devil works hard to keep people lack-minded, cursed-minded, and afraid of not having enough. The Shepherd changes that mindset, because those connected to God do not have to live controlled by what is happening around them. God’s people can rejoice even in famine because they have seed to sow, a Father who supplies, and a blessing that is working on their behalf. The enlarged harvest is not merely about having more, but about becoming more generous and giving glory to God through thanksgiving.

Key Takeaways
- 1. Yield everything to God’s command Anything brought into God’s presence can become blessed, even what looks dead, cut off, or unproductive. Aaron’s rod did not produce because it had life in itself; it produced because it was placed before the Lord. Money must come under that same surrender, rather than remaining a private area of self-rule. [40:08]
- 2. Prosperity is available through covenant God’s blessing is not presented as an automatic entitlement, but as covenant access through relationship and obedience. God commands blessing where His people trust His rule over their lives. The issue is not whether God has enough, but whether a heart will believe that His provision is good. [44:50]
- 3. Christ redeemed believers from curse The curse entered through disobedience, but Christ entered the curse to bring God’s people back into blessing. His death on the tree was not merely forgiveness for the past; it was redemption from the reign of curse. Christ’s poverty reveals the costly grace through which His people receive God’s abundant provision. [48:41]
- 4. Giving is seed, not money lost Tithes and offerings become seed when they are placed into God’s hands in faith. Seed carries expectation because God supplies to the sower and enlarges the harvest. Cheerful giving grows from confidence that God can meet every need and create greater generosity through the harvest.
