1. "Jesus is warning his disciples and the crowd against the danger of being consumed by earthly possessions. Because he's saying, like this consumption, this pursuit brings anxiety and worry in your life. And this message, I think, is just as relevant today as it was when I first spoke, because we live in a world that is constantly bombarding us with us. The message is chased after material wealth. And worry about our needs. However, as followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to a different priorities and we are given gifts that that free us from being worried to be full of peace, to have a life that is beyond just ourselves and even this earth." 2. "Worry is the opposite of faith. It's the opposite of faith. In fact, worry shows that we lack trust in God. And to finish that, B is worry in the Greek means a divided heart. It means that our attention, our affection, our devotion is divided. It points to the division in our heart, the battle, the tension that we often go through. And if you're not going through this tension, I'm going to maybe even push you in a little bit to say that you're probably ignoring it. Or if you learn to rationalize it enough that you can just push it down and not deal with it. Because Jesus brings attention right to the surface." 3. "God values you more than all creation. I mean, last week's sermon is all about God who values you. I mean, this is the God who says you are worth so much. You are worth the suffering and the death of his son, Jesus Christ. For him to lose everything for you. For him to pour out his whole life. On a cross for you. For your sins. He values you. More than the turtles. More than the whales. More than dogs. And definitely more than cats. He values you. Because you have a price you cannot pay. You cannot work off. And he says, look, I'm going to pay it. I'm going to pay it in full with my perfect son. Who will leave heaven and all things. And die and suffer on a cross for you." 4. "Christianity is the only faith. The only faith in which God, God seeks what is lost. All their faiths say, God, you've got to seek God. And you have to please God. In order that God may be favorable to you. That you may have peace with God. There's no confidence. There's no assurance. There's a type of strife and striving. Because how do I know I'm really saved? Because I know it's really good enough. And God says, look. Look, the God of Christianity. The God of the word. The God who really created things. Says, look, you can't. But I love you anyway. And I will provide. I will provide that forgiveness. I will provide the price. I will pay it. Because I love and care for you." 5. "If someone values you. I mean, they listen. They care for you. They serve you. What is your response to that? I mean, my wife, she listens. And she serves. And she cares for me. My response isn't, honey, you should just give me more. It's, man, I'm thankful. And what do I do? I want to love and serve her more. I want to give her value back. I'm going to make her a priority for what she's made me a priority. God has valued you. Made you his priority. Aren't. Only response to that is in his gratitude to make him a priority and value him back." [30:27] (48 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6. "Jesus said, look, I want you to prioritize me, my kingdom, my righteousness above all things. Everything else, including your worries, your fears, your desires. Your hopes, your dreams, any material possession. Seek me above and trust me. And watch, I don't just provide for your needs. But I'm going to tell you, God will provide for your needs and even beyond. And Jesus is not just as an invitation. This is a command to us. Seek. Action verb. Command. Number one, your notes. Faith. H1. Faith is an action, not just a belief. I mean, David said, I had to put my trust in God. He had to take action. Choosing God to be first in our life takes an intentional decision making. If we just go through life, allowing us to go with the flow, we will always drift to self. But we have to choose to trust God. That he will provide all we need with unfailing grace." 7. "When you stop the battle and you make a decision, so I'm going to put my trust in God. There is peace. There is this not worry about this and that. Why? Because God's a God of peace. But God's a God who gives peace, assess priorities in our hearts. And while you might have great things, you might have neat things. Those things don't prioritize over God. And those things have their place. And those things don't get on the throne of our heart and push God off. And so you don't worry. You just kind of have more like open hands. God freely gives. And so therefore, I will, too, because I can trust God will take care of me today in my future." [44:55] (43 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

8. "As you navigate this world, let us remind and be thankful for God's gracious provisions. Provisions. Of both our basic needs, but more importantly, our spiritual needs. And let's just be honest for our needs that are beyond. And allow that gratitude and his love and his grace is just to shape us. And that we will allow it to shape us and that we will attention and to seek it. And we will trust him for all our worries and desires. And that we will just be creatively to be able to rely on him. That we'll go against the bombardment of this world and what the world says and its lies is more and better. And that, man, we're... We're going to live as his disciples differently. As Jesus did." 9. "When the world gets chaotic and things get crazy or life changes happening and you're wondering, God, how is this going to happen? you're going to say, I know how it's going to happen. It's going to be a little miracle and you're going to show up again. You might have to wait. We waited. But God shows up. He shows up again. I mean, I'm worried about putting my kids through college, but I couldn't even afford a house. And God provided. I'm worried about how to have money to marry my kids off. And God provided. And I'm tempted to get worried about retirement. I just joke, God, you provided. What am I thinking? You'll take care of it. Man, don't miss out. God is good."
