#NoRoomForBitterness
“Some of us in this room, we've been hurt by other people. And I look at that and it's it and it it it it's it's not fair. Sometimes it's just not fair. What people have done to you, and I get that. But we have to we can't stay stuck to that. And it's not easy because if it was easy, everybody'd be able to do it the first day. Right? But here's why we have to move on because that person who hurt you may have left years ago. You may have not even have seen him for thirty years, forty years, but that bitterness keeps giving them free rent in your heart and in your head.”

#ForgivenessIsFreedom
“Unhealed hurts become emotional prisons. Bitterness hurts the carrier more than the offender. And forgiveness is not saying what happened is okay. That's not what forgiveness is. Forgiving somebody for hurting your in your past is not saying it was alright for what they did. It's forgiving is choosing freedom over being captive.”

#NewVictoriesEveryDay
“We just need sometimes we need to stop reliving the past mistakes and yesterday's victories. Why? Because today is a new day and I have to have new victories today. I can't just keep reliving yesterday's victories. I have to get up every day and have a new victory every day in my life. The greatest threat tomorrow's blessing is often yesterday's success.”

#DontRomanticizeThePast
“Notice what they remembered here. They remembered the menu, right? They remembered they did, they forgot the misery. They were remembering what they had to eat. They remembering the food. They weren't remembering the bondage. They were remembering the comfort. They had forgotten that they had cried out to the lord to deliver them from Egypt because it got hard. People often remember the pleasures of the past while forgetting the pain of the past.”

#EyesOnGodsCall
“What this means is for someone that's stuck in the past that Paul could've spent every day saying I failed. I've run lives. I can't overcome my past. Instead, he said, I'm pressing on not because his past was small but because god's grace was bigger. Your past may explain where you've been but god's call determines where you're going. That rear view mirror is smaller than the windshield Because god never intended us to spend our life looking backwards.”

#GraceOverRegret
“So, Paul teaches us that moving forward is not forgetting what that the past happened but moving forward is refusing to let past have the final words in our lives. So, god's grace is greater than our failures and his future is bigger than our regrets and his call is still ahead of you. So press on.”
39s
#PastIsNotYourTitle
“Are you stuck in your past failures? Are you stuck in your past hurts? Are you stuck in your past regrets? And most importantly, not most importantly, but also just as important is are you stuck in your past successes? Because you cannot change yesterday but through Christ, you can step into a different tomorrow. Past is a chapter in your life story. It's just a chapter in your story but it is not the title of your life.”

#JesusDoesWhatWeCant
“You're carrying guilt from things that you've done, shame from where, from what you have done, regret over some missed opportunities, and you have fear that god could never forgive someone like you. The truth is is you're right about one thing. You can't fix yourself. You can't dig yourself out of being stuck. No amount of good works can erase those sins and no amount of religion can remove that guilt and no amount of time can wash away your shame but Jesus can.”
