It's almost Christmas season and we love to celebrate and feast a lot in this season in the name of celebrating the birth of Christ. This season is not just about Christmas but preparing our hearts for God's presence and I want to invite you into a time to just pause and prepare not just your home with all the Christmas lights but your heart for He who is the light of the world. Prepare the way. This preparation was about a change of heart. It was about an openness to God's will. Straightening paths is about clearing away anything that gets in the way of progress. And spiritually, it means you're aligning our lives with God's plan. We are living righteously and with purpose and letting go of sins and destructions that pull us off course. We prepare by accepting the love that Christ has shown us.and inviting him to be our Lord and Savior and if you're there and you haven't done that yet I hope and pray that you will do that and because he showed us how to love then we show the same love to our neighbor and loving ourselves as God loves us we prepare by opening our hearts to the least among us the marginalized the forgotten the hearting when we love one another we reflect like God's image we become active participants in his kingdom a movement of hope and and healing in a fractured world. Advent is not just a season on the church calendar. It's an invitation to pause, to step out of the business, and to ask yourself questions like, and this is what I want to end with, questions like, what do you believe?Allow this season to draw you back to the core of your faith, that God so loved the world that he stepped into it, taking on flesh to dwell among us. He is the light that came into darkness, and is this truth that God came, is this truth central to how you live, or has it been overshadowed by lesser things in your life?
