Day 1: Living with Eternity in Mind

Every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ, where our lives will be evaluated not for condemnation, but for reward and the account we give of how we lived. This reality should shape our daily choices, reminding us that our time on earth is fleeting and that what truly matters is how we have lived in light of eternity. The knowledge that we will stand before God alone, with no one else to speak for us, calls us to live intentionally, seeking to please Him in all things and to prepare for that day with sober reflection and hope. "So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."

Day 2: Trusting God with the Number of Our Days

God alone knows the span of our lives, and every day is ordained by Him before even one comes to be. Jesus calls us to store up treasures in heaven rather than on earth, investing our time, talents, and resources in things that have eternal value. So stop and think about that for a moment. That's going to happen to me one day. It's going to happen to you. But I won't have anybody there, I don't think, to help me.
