#WorshipPoweredPrayer
“``Your prayer life should be driven by reverence for God, not your request to him. I make requests, but like you picture a a train, what pulls a train is the engine. The engine of your prayer life should be worship, intimacy, reverence, adoration of God. They taught me they taught me how prayer is scripture fed, spirit led, worship based praying.”

#LetHimSpeakFirst
“So imagine I know this is not gonna happen, but imagine you're sitting across the table from the son of God, you're sitting across the table from your savior, and you're you're gonna have a conversation. Who's gonna start the conversation? You? I think in his presence, you're going let him start the conversation. Generally, whoever starts the conversation in prayer dominates the conversation. I think we need to let him speak first. I don't even know what to say back to him until I know what he said to me. That's intimacy.”

#DontSubstituteService
“Jesus is encouraging Martha, stop focusing on the secondary and making secondary primary. He's also saying, focus on what really matters. Now listen carefully. Jesus is not condemning her for her serving. God wants us to serve him. That's not what he's doing. He is telling her that that's not going to bring you real satisfaction. Some people substitute intimacy with God, they substitute that with serving, and they think the busier they are, that makes them more of a committed Christian. That's not true. Lost people can be very busy in a church, but lost people cannot be intimate with Christ.”

#IntimacyOverActivity
“So what what is Jesus teaching Martha? What is he teaching us? This is what he's teaching. Sitting at his feet, fellowshipping with him cannot be taken away from you. Intimacy with him, nearness to him cannot be taken away from you, and that's what's going to give your soul satisfaction. Martha was active. Mary was intimate. notice that not only in verse 42, Jesus says, not only can this not be taken away, he said, One thing is necessary. So I want you to look at the language. In verse 39, it says, Mary was listening to his word. The word means continually listening. What feeds your soul is so much more important than what feeds your body. I don't miss many meals. We're we're pretty regular, aren't we? But are we as regular about being fed spiritually?”
