#ShareYourStruggle
“Are you hiding your struggles for fear they will judge you? Can I just go ahead and and set the record straight right now? Somebody's gonna judge you. Who cares? There's only one person that can judge me that matters. And he's already told me what the judgment is. I'm not worthy. I don't deserve it, and he don't care. I'm getting it anyway. Your judgment doesn't really matter this way. That's why I can share what I'm going through at any time that I'm going through it. I'm very judged. I've already been to the bottom. People judged me when I was there. What makes me think they're not gonna judge me as a rise up?”

#DadsDontGoItAlone
“As we recognize fathers today, you you know what the biggest obstacle to being a father is, don't you? We think it's all our job. We think it's all on our shoulders. We think we have to do it all. We think we're the lone soldier out there fighting the battles for our family, and we can't let them see what we're going through. We can't let them see it as hard. So we take it all, we snuff it down, we do it all on our song, and we don't incorporate other people, and we don't fight as a unit, and we get overrun, and we get cut off, and we get beat up.”

#TrustGodWithStruggles
“Somebody will misuse it. Somebody will run off and use it as gossip to talk about. Somebody will stomp on that hurt in some way. I'm aware of that. I'm not denying that that happens. I'm not even denying that that happens here. But here's the thing, when I tell you what's going on in my life, I'm not trusting you with it. I'm trusting God with And I'm trusting his plan that says I've got a battle with these people that he's put me around.”

#BattleTogether
“We're not out there waging battle against the enemy all by ourselves. It's just me and Jesus. We got our own thing going. I hate that song by the way if you know that it's a song. It's not just me and Jesus. It's me and all y'all, including the ones that made it. The Baptist Church and Presbyterian Church and Pentecostal Church and churches that don't know we're in a battle. But I'm praying they realize it. Because warfare is a team sport.”

#TellUsToPray
“I'll ask for prayer request, and a lot of times there's somebody that will say, unspoken request. What good does that do? Is that even biblical? An unspoken request that God knows your heart. He knows your heart. He knows what your request is. You don't have to tell me for him to know. You don't have to say it out loud for him to know. But for me to fight on your behalf, you gotta tell me. Him. For me to wage war with you, you gotta share it. This requires openness of our struggle. It requires us sharing.”

#PrayerIsLifeline
“We can't talk about the armor of God without talking about prayer and what it it does for us because if we're in a battle, you will certainly at some point or another or a lot of times, you're gonna get overrun by them. It happens. Talk to someone who's been through real combat in the military and ask them how they would like to be out on the battlefield without the radio. Because you need reinforcements. You need to call in the artillery sometimes to to strike different enemies. This is our lifeline.”

#FightAsAnArmy
“Others in this church will let you down. I will let you down. But my faith is not about others. It simply involves others and God will use others and I need others. But neither myself nor others can be the center of your faith. God has to do. And this faith, this Jesus that's at the center of my faith, he's asking me to do something. He's asking you to do something. He's asking us to fight our battles as part of an army. Not as a lone soldier. He's asking us to fight together.”

#PrayerIsArmor
“We talked through all of the pieces of the armor. Right? Well, actually, there's one at the end that we didn't talk anything about because he doesn't relate it to one of the Roman soldier things they're wearing. But did you notice what he said at the end? He says it five times in two verses. It's the word pray. He says to pray always in the spirit. He says pray for me. He says pray for each other. Prayer is part of the armor of God.”
