#TrustKingJesus
“``If you're tired of just getting by, if you've become exhausted with running on the hamster wheel day after day, incessantly, just to try to grab a quick taste of something that resembles thriving for a moment only to have it seemingly snatched away from you every time it feels like thriving is in your grasp? Trust yourself to king Jesus. He has showed you that he is worthy of your trust, he showed it to you when he exchanged the riches of heaven to take on your rags in order that your rags could be thrown off in favor of the riches of heaven.”

#ThrivingInChrist
“It wouldn't be good for us if he did but what it is is it's authorizing us to consider economic abundance and financial prosperity to be good gifts to look forward to a future in which the last chapter of all of our stories, no matter what your life may look like right now, the last chapter of all of our stories in Christ is one in which we are all abounding in well-being. In other words, though he may allow us to suffer temporarily, and he will for his purposes, Jesus does want us to thrive.”

#JusticeForThePoor
“He says he's gonna rescue. Right? He'll bring justice for the afflicted ones, verse two. In verse four, we're praying that he'll vindicate them while helping the poor and crushing the oppressor. Here in verses 12 through 14, he's rescuing the poor and snatching them out of the clutches of violent people. Wouldn't it be incredible to live in a kingdom like this? To be living under a king who exercised his authority in this way? Not to look the other way, but to rescue. Not to buddy up to oppressors, but to crush them. All motivated by the fact that he genuinely, in his heart of hearts, considers the lives of the poor precious. Can you imagine that?”

#PrayForHisPresence
“What if instead, instead of scheming and devising spending all sorts of time refining vision statements, what if we instead prayed to God and we said, King Jesus, we recognize that your kingdom is not going to expand due to our genius strategies. We recognize that the only hope for your kingdom to expand is if the presence of God falls on us. And so, instead of trying to dream up great plans for how to bring about thriving, we know we can't. And instead, we call out to your God and to our God, to your father and to our father, God, please send your presence to be active among us so that we can thrive in the way that you want us to. What if we prayed that prayer instead?”
