[31:47]Verse 5: And Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,
[33:35]Verse 6: and said, “O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.
[33:39]Verse 7: Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?
[34:05]Verse 8: And they have lived in it and have built for you in it a sanctuary for your name, saying,
[34:09]Verse 9: ‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’
[34:14]Verse 10: And now behold, the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, and whom they avoided and did not destroy—
[34:42]Verse 11: behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.
[34:45]Verse 12: O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
[41:50]Verse 13: Meanwhile all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
[41:53]Verse 14: And the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.

[47:49]Verse 17: You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you.”

[48:02]Verse 20: And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”
[48:35]Verse 21: And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

[49:35]Verse 23: For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another.

[50:11]Verse 26: On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, for there they blessed the LORD. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Beracah to this day.

[36:12]Observation questions- What words and actions show Jehoshaphat’s fear when he first hears that the armies are coming, and what later words show that his focus has turned toward God? [37:12]
- In Jehoshaphat’s prayer, what does he remember about God before he says, “We do not know what to do”?
- What did God tell Judah not to do, and what did He still tell them to do the next day? [36:47]
- What did Judah put in front of the army, what did they sing, and what happened when they began to praise? [47:58]
Interpretation questions- Jehoshaphat says, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” What does this show about the difference between admitting weakness and giving in to fear? [41:41]
- God says, “The battle is not yours,” yet commands Judah to go out against the enemy. What kind of obedient action can still be part of trusting God for a battle only He can win? [45:24]
- Moab had once tried to hire Balaam to curse Israel, but God turned the curse into blessing. How does that truth shape the way believers should respond when negative words, fear, or opposition come against them? [35:52]
- Judah praised before they saw the enemy defeated. Why is praise before visible victory a strong expression of faith rather than pretending that the problem is not real? [48:02]
Application questions- What “God problem” are you facing right now—something too big to fix in your own strength? How can you honestly bring it before God while also saying, “My eyes are upon You”? [01:08:16]
- When pressure comes, what does your inner conversation usually sound like? Are you rehearsing the problem, expecting the worst, or declaring that God is faithful? What is one true statement about God you can speak this week? [37:47]
- Think about God’s past faithfulness in your life. What specific rescue, provision, answer, or sustaining grace do you need to remember and thank Him for today? [42:03]
- Is there a practical step of obedience God may be asking you to take in the middle of your battle—seeking wise help, changing a habit, having an honest conversation, making a financial plan, or asking someone to pray with you? What could that step look like this week? [46:41]
- Praise is not only for after the breakthrough; it goes out before victory is visible. What could it look like for you to make room for praise in your daily routine when circumstances still feel unresolved? [39:33]
- What “negative report” has been speaking loudly over your health, family, finances, or future? How can you answer it with God’s Word and God’s character instead of agreeing with it? [01:09:47]
- The Valley of Beracah became a place of blessing because God’s people blessed the Lord there. What is one valley you are walking through, and how can you bless God there rather than letting that place become a place of defeat? [50:24]
