60s
“Just because the tree is not producing does not mean that God has stopped working. There are seasons when God is not working above ground, but he's working underground. wish I had witnessed it. There are seasons where God is not working in the public. He's working in the closet. There are seasons when God is not working in front of you or around you. Sometimes he's just working in you. Is there anybody in here that can justify that when you can't see his hand, you got to trust his heart because god knows his thoughts are higher than our thoughts.”
75s
“We praise God when the process is unproductive, but the other thing is this, you even need to praise God when the process is uncertain. No vines, no meat, everything Habakkuk. Remember, this is the prophet of God. This is someone who was committed to God. Everything that he depended upon looked uncertain. notice what he does. He stops placing his confidence in what he has and places his confidence in who God is. That's the secret of mature faith. If your joy is based on possessions, circumstances can steal your joy. If your joy is based on people, people will disappoint you.”
53s
“In other words, it's a turning point. Habakkuk makes a move from what I don't have to what I have. From what I don't have to what I have. He may not have crops. He may not have livestock. He may not have visible evidence any prosperity, but he still has god. And that's enough. He says to god the my salvation, his confidence is not ultimately in the harvest. His confidence in the one that makes everything grow. Have I got a witness here?”
