#HumilityHeals
“``Actually, elsewhere, Paul says, what is that you have that you did not receive? Whatever you have, whatever you have, it has been given unto you by God. So what should make you have a big head? What should make you seek vain glory? What should make you seek to think that now you're more important than everybody? In Philippians chapter two verse three, he then says, rather than humility, value others above yourselves. In humility, value others better than yourselves. Friend, humility is what greases relationships. If you're struggling in a relationship, grease it with humility. Ask yourself what did I do that probably led to this situation? What can I do to make the situation better? That's what a model church is. That's what a model Christian is. We walk in humility.”

#WorkOutYourFaith
“The apostle Paul is not saying that now that Christ has died for you, you've accepted him as your personal savior and lord. Now also on top of that, now add on good works so that you may qualify more. That's not that's not what he's saying. But he's saying in salvation because the bible says only by grace through faith are you saved, not of your own. Now within salvation, he says then work out your salvation. During the papa series, I had the privilege of of of sharing on becoming more like Christ. This is what he's talking about. After you've come to Christ, you can't remain the same. You have to keep changing. But he says, do it with reverence.”

#CommunityNotBuildings
“You know, many times when you speak about these early churches, we tend to think that they were like as we are today, that there was a building where they would meet. No. This was an early community. They met in homes. They met outside. There was not such an organized meeting like they would come on Sunday. Okay. So being a Christian that time, and I think Mike touched on it, was it was very difficult. They were being persecuted. And so he's telling the church in The Philippines that please get along. Outside is difficult. To be a Christian outside is difficult. Don't make it difficult for each other when you when you come together. Don't make it difficult for each other as a community.”

#ServantKingMindset
“he's not saying that Christ ceased to be God. No. Rather he's saying that Christ was willing to let go of his prerogative, the prerogative of his deity. Things like being the glory remember when Christ say that now father glorify me with the glory that I had. He had to let go of the glory that he had in heaven. He had let go of the worship, the constant worship and praise for the angels and come and be like a servant and submit himself to the father even to the point of death. And the apostle Paul is saying, this is how you are to live. This should be a mindset that you and I should be having.”
