#tableForAll
“This table belongs to him. Because it belongs to him and is open. You don't have to have it all together to come. You don't have to have never walked away. Peter walked away, and Jesus set a place for him. If you're carrying something you've never fully laid down, a denial, a silence, a moment you wish you could take back, bring it here. This bread is broken for people like that. This cup is poured out for people like that, for people like us. So come, not because you're worthy, but because he is. Come all who are hungry. The table is ready. Christ is the host. All are welcome here.”

#graceNotPerformance
“Jesus is trying to show Peter that his love and acceptance is not based on Peter's performance. Jesus' love and acceptance are given as gifts based on his own finished work. Your performance is never the basis of your acceptance before god, and so god allows us to fail so that we can see his grace at work. The biggest enemy to the gospel in your life is self sufficiency.”
