“Don't go out fishing. Just come back. The beach is open. Jesus is not asking for your explanation. He's just asking for you to love him. Because the question is still being asked to us today. It was asked at Caesarea Philippi. It's being asked at 805 Canal Street today.”

“You know the answer. You know Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. Right? The question is, is what happens when you're under pressure? What happens when you get when you're at 3AM in the hallway of the hospital and the one you love is dying? Or you yourself are dying? It gets tested when, you know, the the plant announces cuts, and you don't know if you're gonna be able to make your, monthly bills or the stock market goes down and your your retirement is, you know, cut in half.”

“But here's the beautiful thing. The folding was not the end. After Peter folded, after Peter denied Christ three times, he went back to fishing. That's what he did. He was like, I'm done with this. I can't stand this anymore. I'm going back to fishing. Not because he had a plan, but because he just didn't know what else to do. He failed. He'd done the wrong thing. And here's the beautiful thing. Jesus went and found him.”
