#GospelDriven
“But again, it's just a little off center. Where's the gospel in that? Where's Christ in that? What's gonna motivate us? Now I can beat you over the head and tell you, you know, you ought to bleed to be obedient to Christ. And that sounds good, but it's not gonna give you any power to actually do that. The power comes from a relationship with Christ and knowing him. The motivation comes from understanding the gospel and what Christ has done for you, filling your heart with gratitude and wanting to serve him in these ways, to agonize for others as Christ did.”

#ChristIsWisdom
“Christ is the wisdom of God. You don't need to go back to the Old Testament. Christ is the embodiment of what the Old Testament is speaking. And you remember when Jesus rose from the dead and he appeared to the men, on the road to to Emmaus and, they didn't recognize him and they were all depressed because Jesus had died and and, they didn't really they heard about the resurrection but they didn't really believe it. And and Jesus said, you know, how slow of heart you are to believe what the prophets told you. And he went through the scriptures and showed them how all the Old Testament was all about him.”
