#SalvationFirst
“And you're like, what could possibly be worse than being paralyzed for thirty eight years, laying on your mat next to the pool at Bethsaida, carried there every day, having to lay in your own waste, your own urine. You can't get up. You can't feed yourself. You can't get in the water. What could be worse? Well, you could be healed and able to carry your mat and still go to hell. Because this isn't medicine. This is miracle. Love medicine. Save my life on more than one occasion. But the greatest miracle is salvation. And so even in these moments, we don't take our eye off of that which is most important. It's the salvation of your soul, not the rectification of your condition.”

#PatienceOnDisplay
“For God to display something in you and through you that will gain the attention of the people around you. That in the demonstration of your patience and literally putting up with people around you when you there's really no reason for you to do that, persevering through situations and circumstances you could do nothing about, still being a person who has faith that God's gonna show up and do for you what you can't do for yourself by praying constantly, believing and following the teachings, and then all of a sudden, what happens? People around you begin to question, how are you different? Why are you making it through this? See, this is our ultimate goal, that there is power and faith.”

#CalledToPersevere
“And we talked about it in week one. The willingness to do exactly what God's called you to do for as long as you have to do it till God shows up and does what only he can do. When you think about the situation Job found himself in, He did not have the heavenly perspective that the devil had actually gone into the throne room of heaven, went to God almighty seated on his throne and said, there's only one reason Job is so faithful to you, and that's because you've blessed him. Take away those blessings, he'll curse your name. And God said, no, he won't.”

#RighteousPrayerPower
“And that if you're in Christ, you're in right standing, you're a righteous person. That prayer, listen, it's powerful because of where it goes. It's like, gotta be kidding me. No. But don't you want a prayer that's not just powerful? Don't you want one that's effective? That actually produces change? That it's transcended and it leaves, like, it's the opposite of what Christ did. The incarnational son of God leaving the heavenlies, penetrating this earth. And that's what happens with your prayers. Now that's powerful. That's effective. That's the key. When problems of life arise, we can choose to trust the power of the prayers of a righteous person, not just anybody. it's all about standing. It's all about who I am to God. He's my father. I'm his child. I'm not a bother. I'm not a problem.”

#WaitingWithGrace
“You're waiting for something you can't produce. And in doing so, we just the impatience, we're not showing macrothumas. We're not recognizing that when I find myself in a situation where I've done all that I can do and I'm waiting for something to happen that I can't produce, there's a strong likelihood that I'm gonna be impatient with the people around me. Bingo. That is the key. Alright? And”

#StandFirmInHeart
“like, what drives us to hold on to this, though? How long do I have to wait, right, for the autumn and spring praise? So James says, you too, you gotta be patient. And this word stand firm really means, you gotta work on your heart. Own that. I get it. Okay? It's a heart issue. Right? When we we lose our patience because patience is a fruit of the spirit. So we gotta learn to stand firm in the behavioral expectations we've been called to. And when we don't, we repent. Right? Stand firm because why? The lord's coming is near.”
56s
#ChristIsNear
“is the lord coming. So James starts with the grand epic perusa. You need to be patient. The lord's coming. We're like, oh, that's too grand and epic. Okay. How about this? He's near. And this means proximity as well as the calendar day every day that passes these. But he's talking about proximity here. He's not just way away. He's right here right now. The kingdom of God has come. In fact, he can't get any nearer to you than he already is because the spirit of God is within you. And so is this a warning? Surely. The Lord's near. You wanna you know, like, when we all behave a little bit differently if Jesus was sitting in that chair. But it's also an encouragement. You're not in this alone. The Lord's near. He understands what's going on. He understands what you're waiting for. He understands what you're going through. But he also understands there's there there's really no need to make a situation worse”

#ChoosePerseverance
“But lastly and finally, above all, my brothers, this is not the last one. Wanna show you something. Don't swear while you're in the midst of this. Not by heaven or earth, by anything else. All you need to say is a simple yes or no. Under pressure, we're prone to make agreements about things unnecessarily. We enter into agreements with other people. What are we trying to do? We're trying to alleviate the situation situation we're in, and we find ourselves making agreements, making decisions, and to do things there's no no need whatsoever to do. And you certainly don't need to swear by heaven or earth. Just a yes. Just a yes. Just a no. Don't allow pressure to cause you to make agreements that you think have the capacity to alleviate the pressure that only God can alleviate. So when problems arise, you gotta choose perseverance because God's gonna pull you through.”
34s
#DivineCompassion
“Compassion is the way God feels while he watches you go through it. It's the same word that we use for spleen. He's feeling it deep within his gut. There's a guttural compassion that God feels for you when you're going through what you're going through. Okay? And this was a situation that God ordained. Sometimes it's just what God allows. But this one, he told the devil you're gonna have your way with him. Because he knew he wasn't gonna curse him. And mercy is the willful action of God because of the compassion that he feels in his gut.”
37s
#FireFromHeaven
“Then it's finally Elijah's turn. And he's slaughtered the animals, stacked it up on the altar, and he prays one time. Father, make yourself known. Boom. Fire falls from heaven. Consumes the entire it's the consuming fire of God. Consumes the entire sacrifice. Laps up all the water that Elijah had put in the trenches and all over the sacrifice to prove there is one God. Guess what happened in that moment? Israel finally, temporarily mind you, they turned back towards God.”
31s
#ConfessAndBelieve
“I'm a sinner. You need we we confess our sins to each other. I gotta tell them I'm I'm wretched. I'm a sinner. I bring nothing other than my faith and what God told us to do. Right? And the most important question we ask in those moments is this. Are you absolutely convinced you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior? Because of what eternal value would there be to pray over a sick person who's healed and they walk away and they're still condemned to die apart from Christ?”
30s
#SqueezeRevealsCharacter
“Right? You squeeze it. Now what comes out of it is what's in it. It's the toothpaste. And that's what this is. When life is squeezing you, you know what this means? Don't whine. Don't complain. Don't be grumbling to other people all the time. Like, oh, it's so unfair. My life and then, oh, god. You don't know what it's like to go through what I'm going through. Nobody's been through what I've been through. God, I'm the only person who's ever been through what I've been through. You know why? Because nobody wants to hear that.”
30s
#GuardYourWords
“And so if you're constantly speaking and sharing negative things about your situation, you're gonna continue to see it negatively. We gotta be patient. We gotta we just we can't let that which is squeezing us fit us into this space where all we can do is grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. Okay? You will. You gotta you gotta contain yourself. You gotta hold. And look how close Jesus is now. He's standing at the door.”
42s
#WaitForTheHarvest
“See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. Okay? So here you have a farmer who's done what he needs to do. Okay? He has tilled the land. He has cared for the land. He has sowed seed in the land, and he's covered it back up. And now he has to wait patiently. Okay? Because only the land can take over from here, if you will. Right? He's put it in there, and now he's in a situation where there's nothing more he can do about the situation he's in because he's waiting for something he can't control, autumn and spring rains. And so here he is waiting for the rains to come.”
42s
#FaithThatMovesHeaven
“He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it didn't rain on the lamb for three and a half years. What a season of time that had to be. He literally prayed because God told him to, to create an environment that would be problematic for him and the entire nation of people. No rain three years. go three weeks without rain. Got a problem. Right? Three years creates an environment that's problematic. But after that, again, he prayed and the heavens gave rain and the earth produced its crops. Because he had faith, this kind of faith that God was up to something. That the reason why God stopped the rain was get the attention of people.”
