Overcoming the Enemy: Embracing Love and Victory
Summary
This morning, we gathered to reflect on the transformative power of God's love and the strategic nature of the enemy's attacks. We began by celebrating the testimonies of deliverance and salvation from our recent encounter service, recognizing that God is shifting things in the atmosphere. As we prepare for Easter, we are reminded of our mission to reach out to those around us with the love and hope of Christ, using the invite cards as a tool to extend an invitation to experience the Prince of Peace.
Our focus today was on understanding the strategies of Satan, who seeks to establish a foothold in our lives through deception, devouring, and accusation. We explored the concept of Satan as a strategist, aiming to create a beachhead in our lives—a military term signifying a strategic point for launching further attacks. This beachhead is not just a foothold but a base for future operations, and it is crucial that we recognize and dismantle these strongholds.
We delved into Ephesians 4, where Paul admonishes us to put away behaviors that give the enemy a foothold: lying, anger, stealing, filthy speech, an unforgiving spirit, and slander. Each of these can serve as a beachhead for Satan, eroding our spiritual foundation. We made confessions together, committing to truth, forgiveness, and love, and rejecting the victim mentality. We acknowledged that we are better together, part of the same body, and that we must hold each other accountable in love.
As we concluded, we were reminded of the power of the blood of Jesus to cleanse and protect us. We committed to applying these truths in our lives, knowing that victory is ours through Christ. We are called to walk in purity, to be shepherds who protect and guide one another, and to live in the victory that Jesus has already secured for us.

Day 1: The Unifying Power of God's Love
God's love is not merely an emotion but a transformative force that unites believers and empowers them to overcome the enemy's strategies. When rooted in love, individuals experience the fullness of God, enabling them to grasp the depth of Christ's love and be filled with His presence. This love strengthens the community, allowing them to stand firm against deception and sin. As believers prepare for Easter, they are reminded of their mission to reach out to others with the love and hope of Christ, using tools like invite cards to extend an invitation to experience the Prince of Peace. [12:46]
Ephesians 3:17-19 (ESV): "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Reflection: How can you actively demonstrate God's love to someone in your community today, and what steps will you take to ensure this love is rooted in truth and sincerity?
Day 2: Recognizing and Countering Satan's Strategies
Satan is a cunning strategist who seeks to establish a foothold in believers' lives through deception and sin. Understanding his tactics is crucial to preventing him from gaining a beachhead—a strategic point for launching further attacks. Just as God has plans to bless, Satan has plans to destroy, and believers must be vigilant in guarding their hearts and minds. By recognizing these strategies, individuals can dismantle strongholds and protect their spiritual foundation. [01:02:40]
2 Corinthians 2:10-11 (ESV): "Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs."
Reflection: Identify a specific area in your life where you feel vulnerable to deception. What practical steps can you take today to guard against Satan's influence in this area?
Day 3: The Power of Confession and Accountability
Confession is a powerful tool in breaking the strongholds of the enemy. By confessing sins and committing to truth and integrity, believers close the door to Satan's influence. Accountability within the body of Christ helps individuals stay on the right path and supports them in their spiritual journey. This communal support is vital for spiritual growth, as believers hold each other accountable in love, ensuring that they walk in purity and truth. [01:21:30]
James 5:16 (ESV): "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."
Reflection: Who in your life can you trust to hold you accountable in your spiritual journey? How can you initiate a conversation with them about mutual accountability today?
Day 4: Embracing a Victorious Mindset
Rejecting the victim mentality is essential for spiritual growth. By embracing a victorious mindset, believers align themselves with God's perspective and claim the victory that is theirs in Christ. This shift in mindset empowers them to live as overcomers, free from the chains of past hurts and betrayals. It requires intentionality and a commitment to live according to God's standards, knowing that they are part of a larger body that supports and uplifts one another. [01:34:45]

Day 5: Walking in the Victory of Christ
Believers' victory is secured through the blood of Jesus, which cleanses and protects them. By applying the truths of God's Word and living in obedience, they walk in the victory that Jesus has already won. This requires intentionality and a commitment to live according to God's standards, knowing that they are part of a larger body that supports and uplifts one another. Colossians 2:13-15 (ESV): "And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him."

can I can I just say this nicely the drug addict didn't start with a truck load he started with one hit the alcoholic didn't start with the whole brewery he started with one drink the fornicator didn't start with 20 he started with one the pornographic viewer didn't start by buying all the magazines he just looked at one picture she just looked at one picture y 'all staying with me it's the little foxes in other words he listened to me the little foxes that spoil the vine means the one that slipped in unnoticed by everybody else and because we'd have seen it if it had destroyed the vine but what he did was instead of destroying the vine he went after the root because the enemy wants to come after the root of the issue of what's going on in your life. [00:55:13] (56 seconds)
Paul's doing the same thing right here he's gonna start naming names are you hearing me he says I'm not gonna let the enemy get out of here I'm gonna name names so I'm gonna turn the squirrel loose in here today amen and we're gonna do what Paul did we're gonna name names and we're gonna slow down and go through it and we're gonna deal with these six pieces right here verse 25 since Satan is the father of all lies it is no surprise that lying open opens up for him an opportunity to work in our lives John 8 and 44 you're like your true father the devil and you spend your time pursuing the things your father loves he started out as a killer and he cannot tolerate truth because he is void of anything true at the core of his character listen to me he is a liar everything he speaks originates in these lies because he is the father of all lies listen to me when you believe the truth the Holy Spirit can work in your life you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free when you believe the truth the Holy Spirit can work in your life you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free the Holy Spirit can work in your life but when you believe a lie Satan can work in your life are you hearing me Satan wants to work through listen to me half -truths you don't need it to be a full -blown lie for Satan to use it Satan just needs a little bit of manipulation of the truth and water down the truth or make it less than it really is and all of a sudden you believed a full -blown lie well I know God can heal but but but. [01:01:00] (96 seconds)
Solomon made it very clear in Proverbs when you put several pieces together that you need to know listen all sides of counsel before you form an opinion are y 'all hearing me I asked that more often than not what's the rest of the story what's the Paul Harvey there we go again okay Paul Harvey was an old guy that had a radio show that said now for the rest of the story there's always a Paul Harvey in the story you don't know the whole story but you come to a conclusion and you're ready to throw somebody under the bus and you don't even know what their side of the story is y 'all hearing me now you're participating in the lie and you're giving it double energy wow we wouldn't dare do that. [01:01:37] (58 seconds)
let me drop this if I can when we when we understand in this idea of harboring again when we see all of this more and more troops come in more and more lives are shipped to escalate the mission the this is right right where it's in let me let me just say it this way it's impossible to be in fellowship with God if you're still operating in lies it is impossible to be in right fellowship with God when you are telling or participating in lies there's no way that you can be in proper fellowship with God consider Ananias and Sapphire in acts 5 1 and 11 it was not that they withheld some of the money from the sale of the lamb back from God the sin was that they lied to God and to the church and God judged them severely so if you don't think God looks at lying lightly you better rethink and go back and read acts and read the story of Ananias and Sapphire God hates liars not liars he doesn't hate liars he hates lying let me make sure I get that right he loves you look at your neighbor and say he loves you but he can't stand the lying that goes on Shomen that's where it's important that Sean that's where it's important that we grasp this and understand the sin they lied to God the sien was trying to make watch this people think they were very spiritual when in reality they were hypocrites do you know listen to me listen to me this is why we get the application right right here. [01:04:26] (101 seconds)
if you're operating in unforgiveness not only can you not win the battle you can't even detect what satan's up to you lose the filter of the holy spirit helping you with that unforgiveness is is the big catalyst i believe behind much of this because listen the old man the flesh and the old nature delights in breeding this kind of poison the only remedy is forgiveness the longer you harbor an unforgiving spirit the more territory satan will gain in your life and while it's true listen to me you cannot force anyone to forgive you you can forgive others while you can't force anyone to forgive you you can give forgiveness anyway. [01:20:28] (55 seconds)
and until we learn the power of forgiveness we will be held captive by the enemy here's our confession number five are y 'all getting anything out of this today is this helping you deep down is this application or not it listen it was good to shout last week and good to run and celebrate and by the way y 'all just impressed me every time somebody came out of up out of the water y 'all were standing and shouting and praising the lord thank you because i believe that's the way it ought to be in heaven amen and down here here's our confession for unforgiveness read it with me father today i release every offense hurt and betrayal and betrayal that i am carrying i decree and declare i am free just as you have forgiven me i forgive others i refuse reject and rebuke the victim mentality because i am now completely victorious in jesus name amen that's a good one right there can can i carry us back through something for a moment let me let me just carry you back this listen i refuse i reject and i rebuke the victim mentality are y 'all hearing me the moment you do that you now see yourself through the eyes of god because you're the head not the tail you're the winner not the loser amen not because of what you've done but because of what christ has done in you though as long as you remain a victim it's all about you the moment you you realize you're victorious it's all about jesus i'm preaching good right there by the way amen.
