A frustrated desire is a bomb that must be diffused. Amen. If not, when it explodes, it will not get what it wanted and may destroy and hurt everything nearby. Amen. This can lead to church wars, and we've seen it happen time and time again. [00:17:17]

Spreading damaging information fueled by envy and rivalry, planting seeds of division and distrust. Wow, that's a big one, whether it's true or untrue. If someone came to you in this church and they shared something with you, hallelujah, and that something was private, that doesn't give you the right to go and spread it. [00:21:17]

When God's word exposes selfish desires, it reveals the roots of quarrels and division. Refusing to submit to conviction, some leave the church and seek a new congregation that offers a watered-down message, one that tolerates sin and avoids challenging their behavior with the authority of scripture. Anytime your heart's right with God, you're going to ask what is in line with God's will. Amen. Are you hearing me, church? Boy, I want the Lamborghini so I can cruise and I could put the shades on and get the guy out. No, no, no, no, that's not really in line. [00:28:07]

The more you get in line with God's will, the more you give yourself over to the will of God, you're going to find yourself praying a lot different when you're in his chambers. Amen. First of all, you pray his word, and second, you're going to start seeing yourself pray for others. [00:30:32]

Humble yourself means you're submitting to God, you're surrendering to God, knowing that you cannot work this out in your own strength. Amen. That is how we humble ourselves before the Lord, amen, and that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [00:43:28]

Come close to God and God will, what? I love this scripture because, church, it doesn't matter where you've been and what you've done. Amen. Are you hearing me? That's God's mercy, his grace. No matter how far you've been away, no matter what you've done, you can always come close to God. [00:51:42]

He says, "Wash your hands." Everybody say, "Wash your hands." Wash your hands. He says, "You sinners." Because that's the lifestyle you've been living. Now you're coming back to me. We got to make this thing right now. Ain't that good? He's saying, "Look, I know you're trying to come close." [00:52:00]

Humble yourself before the Lord and what? He will lift you up. And you know what that honor is? I love this part because he's saying after all of this, after our session together, after our counsel session together, you and God, he says, "I'll lift you up." [00:56:41]
