In a world filled with division, hostility, and competing allegiances, it is easy to try to pull God onto our side or to confuse our faith with our politics, nationality, or personal preferences. But God is not on any human side—He is on His own, and our call is to align ourselves with Him. True allegiance is not to a flag, a nation, or a movement, but to Jesus Christ alone, whose kingdom is eternal and whose love is the only banner that will wave in heaven. Let your loyalty be to the Savior who transcends every earthly boundary, and let your life reflect that singular devotion. [15:47]
Joshua 5:13-15 (ESV)
When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” And the commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.
Reflection: In what ways have you tried to pull God onto your side, rather than seeking to align your life with His kingdom and His ways? What would it look like today to pledge your allegiance to Jesus above all else?
No matter what we face—trials, loss, or the chaos of the world—our identity as overcomers is rooted in Christ’s finished work, not in our circumstances or feelings. We are more than conquerors, not because of our own strength, but because of His love and victory. Even when life feels overwhelming or when we feel defeated, we can stand firm in the truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Our victory is not measured by outward success, but by faith in what Jesus has already accomplished for us. [23:15]
Romans 8:37-39 (ESV)
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you have let your circumstances define you, rather than your identity as an overcomer in Christ? How can you remind yourself today that your victory is rooted in His love, not your situation?
The first battleground for every believer is the mind. The enemy attacks us with lies, doubts, and discouragement, but we are called to renew our minds with the truth of God’s Word. When we meditate on who God is—His goodness, His light, His love, His faithfulness—we are able to resist the lies and stand firm in our identity. Speaking God’s truth over ourselves, even when we don’t feel it, is a powerful weapon against the darkness. The Word of God is our safe room, our strong tower, and our defense against every assault on our thoughts. [35:06]
Romans 12:2 (ESV)
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Reflection: What is one lie or negative thought that has been harassing your mind lately? Find a specific truth from God’s Word to meditate on and speak over yourself today.
Our speech reveals where we are from and who we belong to. As children of God and overcomers in Christ, our words should reflect faith, hope, and the reality of God’s kingdom, not the negativity or defeat of the world. What comes out of our mouths has the power to build up or tear down, to bring light or darkness. When we speak words of life, encouragement, and truth, we create an atmosphere that aligns with God’s heart and invites His presence. Let your language give you away as a citizen of heaven, and let your words impart grace to those who hear. [50:46]
Ephesians 4:29 (ESV)
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Reflection: Listen to your words today—at home, at work, or with friends. Do they reflect the language of an overcomer and a child of God? What is one way you can intentionally speak life and encouragement to someone around you?
Living as an overcomer is not about willpower or feelings, but about receiving by faith what God has already given and expressing gratitude for it. Thanksgiving must be spoken, not just felt, and as we thank God for His love and victory, our hearts and minds are transformed. Surrounding ourselves with other overcomers—people who encourage, challenge, and uplift us—is essential for walking in victory. Decide today to stand firm, to keep following Jesus no matter what, and to let your life be a billboard pointing others to Him. [01:00:18]
Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Reflection: Who are the people in your life that help you live as an overcomer? How can you express gratitude to God and to them today, and how might you encourage someone else to walk in victory?
This morning, the weight of our nation’s division and pain pressed on my heart, and I felt compelled to remind us that God is not on any human side—He is on His own. Our allegiance must be to Jesus above all else, not to political parties, nationalities, or cultural movements. In a world filled with hostility, anger, and brokenness, Jesus remains the only true hope for our lives, both now and for eternity. We are called to intercede for our nation, to pray for healing, repentance, and a return to Christ, knowing that the love of Jesus is the only banner that will last forever.
We are not just called to survive or to “make it to heaven.” In Christ, we are overcomers—right now, not just someday. Our victory is not based on circumstances, feelings, or achievements, but on the finished work of Jesus and His unchanging love for us. Even in the darkest seasons, our identity as overcomers stands firm because of what He has done, not because of what we do or how we feel. Like David carrying Goliath’s head, our lives should boldly display the victory of Christ, not just in words but in the way we walk, talk, and respond to the world around us.
To live as overcomers, we must first win the battle in our minds. The enemy’s primary assault is on our thoughts—filling us with lies, loneliness, and anxiety. We overcome by renewing our minds with God’s truth, meditating on His Word, and declaring who He says we are. Our speech must also reflect our victory; we cannot speak the language of defeat and expect to live in victory. The words we speak shape our reality and reveal our true allegiance. Finally, we must receive from God by faith and with thanksgiving, surround ourselves with other overcomers, and make a firm decision to stand with Christ, no matter what comes.
We are not meant to live broken, defeated lives. Our purpose is to be living billboards for the kingdom, pointing others to Jesus by the way we overcome. Let’s walk in the fullness of what Christ has already accomplished, knowing that our best days are ahead, and that our city and nation can be transformed as we rise up as true overcomers.

1 John 5:4-5 (ESV) — > For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Romans 12:2 (ESV) — > Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
You did not sign up to just go to heaven. You didn't come into Christianity so that you can get to heaven. One of the things that makes me angry. And if you want to make Pastor Kirk angry. Is when you tell people the world is getting ready to end. You need to repent. When you tell people Jesus is coming back soon. You need to repent. You need to repent. Why does that make me angry? Because you're telling people.people that the conditions of the world is why you should turn towards jesus and not because of how amazing he is it's not because of what he's done for you you're saying the world is getting ready so bad you need to turn it's like telling a man you need to hurry up and get married because you're getting old it's like telling a man just pick any woman you can find because you're getting old you need to hurry up and make a decision it's like telling a lady listen you know you're getting past your prime you just need to just take him and know you love somebody you marry somebody because you love them you marry somebody because there's a connection you marry somebody because you want to be with them and i'm tired of selling a cheap gospel i'm telling you give your heart to jesus so you can get eternity give your heart to jesus because he's amazing give your heart to jesus because he died an applause for you so you give your heart to jesus because he's watching [00:24:26] (64 seconds) #LoveNotFearGospel
Knowing the truth about god's nature helps us to disform the lives of the enemy studying reading and meditating and quoting the word of god is crucial for us god's word and learning is not just a good practice for a christian it's not just like those good for christians to read the bible it's our arsenal against the enemy when the enemy's sending all kind of things the web tree that we use is the word of god our combat our defense is the word of god and if you have no word in your heart you have no defense mechanism one of the things i would love if i ever come into somebody and say i have like a secret apartment in my house that like i got a secret room and stuff like that i can lock myself in there hide from the kids y 'all y 'all don't understand y 'all won't be beating me up but the word of god becomes our panic room the word of god becomes our safe room the word of god because the place that we run into the bible says the name of the lord is a strong tower the righteous run into and they are safe the word of god is the place that you are supposed to run to when you bear an attack and harassed by the kingdom of god but if you don't know the word how can you run to the word [00:40:39] (69 seconds) #WordIsOurStrongTower
Victorious people should talk like victorious people if you're an overcoming christ you should talk like one of the things i hated as a as a youth pastor when i go to sporting events and i talk to the kids and they just sound like losers i don't know if you've ever been talking to sport the video you're talking to somebody and like yeah we're gonna lose we're gonna get beat up it's just like no i don't care if you lose by 100 don't go in there let the other team know that like you can tell when somebody comes on the corner when they come on the field and they got a way about them like how they walk on the i can't stand seeing christians that walk right they don't know jesus i can't stand seeing christians like every time you talk to them it's just like they just feel like they've been going through the worst of the worst and i'm telling you david had people that were getting ready to kill him his friends were getting ready to kill him and the bible says david strengthened himself in the lord and i don't i don't know what you want to but to my understanding nobody i've got anybody trying to kill you and we gotta learn to talk like we believe what jesus did [00:46:03] (54 seconds) #SpeakVictoryDaily
If you're going to receive something from God, you receive it by faith, and you receive it by faith. And faith is not a feeling. Faith is a belief and a confidence and a hope in what God says. And so if I'm going to receive joy, I have to receive it by faith, not a feeling. And so you can leave today and still feel like depression is carrying that weight, but believing joy is present. And now I receive it by faith. And thanksgiving, and this is what's important, this is why it's faith in thanksgiving, because thanksgiving has to be expressed. You're not supposed to live your whole life as a Christian broken. You're not supposed to live your whole life as a Christian just trying to figure out how am I going to make it. There's so many people that are settling in their mind that I'm just trying to make it to heaven. And we sing songs about it. And heaven is going to be amazing... But you're not here on the earth just trying to make it to heaven. You're here on the earth right now to live as an overcomer, to live as a child of God. That your life will be a billboard for the kingdom pointing to people saying, Jesus, this way, follow me. Jesus, this way, follow me. That's how we live as an overcomer. It becomes a beacon. It becomes a spotlight to say, this is the way. Come follow Jesus. [01:05:35] (68 seconds) #BeABeaconForJesus
