#LetGoLetGod
“``To use a total cliche, because every once in a while, cliches tell the truth, we need to let go and let God. It is when we have let go of our mortal power that God reveals God's divine power. It is when we are weak that God reveals God's strength. It is when we experience true humility that God reveals the gate of heaven. And who knows what blessings God has in store for us then? May it be so. Amen.”

#NeedGodNear
“But this this does open up a question. There are times in our lives when we really, really need God near to us, times that we need God's nearness more than other times. You know, times when we don't know which way to go, times when our well laid plans have fallen apart. Times when we can no longer fake self sufficiency any longer. From my experience and from the stories of Genesis, it is in those times of confusion maybe even despondency or despair, that's exactly God shows up.”

#GodShowsUpUnexpectedly
“However, you know, God is God is free. God is wild. And so God will reveal God's self to us, to humans in ways that are totally unpredictable and unexpected as well. You know, I was I was not on buses in Uruguay in order to experience the nearness of God. I was actually just trying to get to my extended family in in Uruguay and having a very hard time doing so. And suddenly God was near to me, revealing things to me that I didn't know that I even needed to know.”

#ReleaseSpiritualPride
“Or or maybe we've gone the counter cultural route, and and we've pursued spiritual enlightenment above all the other things, and we we feel quite proud of ourselves that we're not like all those other heathens out there, and to a certain degree I wanna give you some kudos for that sort of thing, even there, we need to let go of our spiritual enlightenment in order to experience the true nearness of God.”
