Even when we feel uncertain or unworthy, God promises to go with us, never leaving or forsaking us, and inviting us to walk forward in faith and freedom. In moments of fear or doubt, remember that you are not alone—God’s presence is steadfast, and His faithfulness is unchanging. He calls each of us to arise, to trust that by the cross our chains are released, and to live unshackled and unafraid, knowing that His love and commitment are not dependent on our performance but on His character. [05:10]
Deuteronomy 31:6 (ESV)
"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
Reflection: Where in your life do you feel alone or afraid, and how can you invite God’s presence into that specific situation today?
Each person is invited to a vital role in God’s body, and every gift, no matter how different, is essential for the church to grow and reflect Christ’s love to the world. The church is not just a collection of individuals but a living body where every part matters—no one is insignificant, and everyone is called to participate. As we serve, love, and build one another up, we become more like Jesus, and the beauty of the body of Christ is revealed in our unity and diversity. [51:50]
Ephesians 4:15-16 (ESV)
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."
Reflection: What is one way you can use your unique gifts to serve and build up someone in your church community this week?
By the cross, our chains are released, and we are set free from fear, called to live unshackled and unafraid as sons and daughters of God. This freedom is not just a feeling but a reality rooted in Christ’s victory, enabling us to step out boldly, knowing that fear no longer has a hold on us. Embracing this truth means choosing to trust God’s love and power over the voices of anxiety or inadequacy, and living each day as people who have been truly set free. [01:58]
Romans 8:15 (ESV)
"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'"
Reflection: What fear has been holding you back, and how can you take a step of faith today to live in the freedom Christ has given you?
Following Jesus is not just about knowing the right things but about imitating His life, loving as He loved, and stepping out in obedience, even when it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar. Jesus didn’t just give us information; He showed us how to live, serve, and love others, calling us to learn by doing and to grow together as we follow His example. True discipleship means moving beyond passive listening to active participation, allowing Christ’s life to shape our actions and relationships. [58:21]
James 1:22 (ESV)
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves."
Reflection: What is one practical way you can imitate Jesus’ example in your interactions with others today?
Every believer is a gift to the body of Christ, and the journey of faith involves discovering, embracing, and stepping into the unique calling God has placed on your life, no matter how small or uncertain the next step may seem. It’s easy to compare ourselves or feel inadequate, but God delights in using each of us as we are, inviting us to participate in His work and to help others along the way. Trust that your willingness and obedience matter, and ask God to show you the next step in following Him and serving others. [01:07:05]
1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace."
Reflection: What is one small step you can take this week to use your gifts or talents to bless someone else or to move forward in your calling?
Freedom is not just a distant hope, but a present reality for those who belong to Christ. Through the cross, every chain has been broken, and fear no longer has a hold on us. We are called to live unshackled and unafraid, not because of our own strength or performance, but because God Himself goes with us and will never leave or forsake us. This is the foundation of our identity and the starting point for our journey as disciples. We are not defined by our failures or by the world’s expectations, but by the freedom and love given to us in Jesus.
As we continue to walk in this freedom, it’s important to remember that every believer has a unique role in the body of Christ. God has given different gifts—apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers—not to elevate a few, but to equip everyone for ministry. Each person is invited to participate, to serve, and to help the body grow in love and maturity. The church is not a place for spectators, but a living, breathing community where every part matters and contributes to the whole.
Obedience is not about getting hung up on titles or feeling pressure to perform. Instead, it’s about listening to God’s voice, stepping out in faith, and being willing to serve where He leads. Sometimes that means teaching, sometimes it means encouraging, sometimes it means simply being present for someone in need. The point is not perfection, but participation—allowing God to use us, even in our weakness, to build up His people.
This week, the invitation is to reflect on your own calling and to take a step forward, however small, in serving others. Whether it’s through teaching, inviting, giving, or simply showing up, you are a gift to the body of Christ. Don’t underestimate the impact of your obedience. As we each take our place, the church becomes a beautiful picture of Christ’s love and power in the world.
God is there are people who are bought into the mission that we've been invited. People who follow Jesus are not just spectators, but participants in the work that God is doing in the world. Each of us has a role to play in the body of Christ. [00:44:11]
The reality is what we're talking about today isn't just reaching people who are outside the church, but it's also about equipping those who are already here to live out their faith in practical ways every single day. [00:40:17]
What if we launch careers, what if we serve that apartment, what if we planted it in those people of God. They call us to justice and they won't let us talk about our neighbors without actually loving them in real, tangible ways. [00:48:22]
Every single one of you is invited to a role in God's body. It looks different for each person, but every single person, everyone who follows Christ, has a part to play in the mission and ministry of the church. [00:46:05]
Scripture also talks about why are they given these gifts to the church. It's not just so we can feel good about ourselves, but so that we can build up the body of Christ and help each other grow in faith and maturity. [00:46:35]
The point of the passage is not a perfect church, but a church where every part is working together, where each person is using their gifts, and where the body of Christ becomes more and more like Jesus. [00:52:06]
It's a beautiful picture. The whole body working together, each part doing its job, each person contributing what they have, and the result is that the church grows and becomes healthy and strong. [00:53:45]
Maybe you're calling people, maybe you're inviting others, maybe your life is a testimony that points people to Jesus. Whatever your life is, God wants to use you to make a difference in the world around you. [01:04:01]
You are a gift. It's so easy to walk in a room. I do it all the time. Hey guys, I'm a gift. But the truth is, God has given each of us something unique to offer, and the church needs what you have. [01:05:49]
So we got through talk about building up everything, but the reality is your first step isn't to turn on your own life and try to clean yourself up. It's about letting God work in you and through you. [01:07:20]
We are in week two of our series 180, return to disciplem. And and truth be told, I didn't tell it the first service. Um so they missed out. But um this is one that I'm extremely excited to preach about and share with you, but it's also one that I'm nervous about. [00:36:19]
Because it's something that I missed growing up. I kind of glossed over it. I didn't true understanding because honestly the words are it if you were to put this in a category it's very Christian so what I would like for you to do is prepare your heart and mind as we go through this. [00:36:46]
To do is prepare your heart and mind as we go through this like don't get hung up on the words and it's more of our obedience in that so don't worry about the titles at all and if there's things that need to be clarified I love to do that with you. [00:36:52]
That's why Jesus didn't just give us information. He gave us an example to follow, a life to imitate, and a mission to join. The Christian life is not just about knowing things, but about living them out. [00:39:49]
When he fed the 5,000 Jesus didn't take the easy way out. He invited his disciples to participate in the miracle, to bring what they had, and to trust that God would do something amazing with it. [00:59:19]
