#GraceAlone
“The goats, the bulls, all that was gone. Jesus, the perfect lamb of God, sacrificed himself, gave his life, his blood for you and for me, for our forgiveness. How dare we think we can earn? And I know you're all... I hope... I'm pretty sure I'm assured of this. You don't buy into the work salvation. We got that part right. The only problem is we put it at the beginning of salvation, but we don't carry it all the way through. Favor with God is not something we have to earn. It has already been given because of Christ upon us. And who... What is the seal of that favor? The presence of God through the Holy Spirit. He is the gift.”

“The author of Hebrews declares that Christianity is not mere, not a mere set of rules. Some people think, you know, how do you define... Oh, I don't do this. I've heard one wonderful speech say, yeah, we say we don't do this. We don't do that. We don't do this. We don't do that. He said, and the world's over here and say, what what what do you do? And we should be doing loving God and loving others. That's what we should be doing and not just saying we don't do. It's not just a set of rules. Christianity is not something you do for your country, your city, your home, yourself, or your God. Christianity is what God does in you and for you.”

#SurrenderToJesus
“Now I wanna say at the outset, and all of my grace mentors would probably say you shouldn't do that. Say it at the end, but I'm gonna say it at the beginning. I said it last week. When I champion grace, I am not championing what Jude warns about of a cheap grace that says you can do what you want. No. We are made, designed, intended to live surrendered lives to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. And in surrendering our lives to him, he causes within us a desire. The love of Christ compels me to walk in his ways.”

#TrustAndObey
“When you and I... Listen. Remember the scriptures, we're to be the, what, fragrance of Jesus in every place we go. That's what we're intended to be. We're to give God glory in all of our actions, in all of our ways. Do we fall short? Yes. Have we been forgiven? Absolutely. But that's our will. That's our desire. Why? Because we trust God, and we love God. And you know who you love supremely. Listen to me. You will submit to. You will yield to. You will trust.”

#ReceiveGrace
“but it was a Smith Barney commercial. You may have remembered. Those who have white hair will remember this. he comes on commercial. Smith Barney is an investing company, and he says, Smith Barney does it the old fashioned way. We earn it, and he puts that urn in there where that one is different. And that's what a lot of preachers, Christians, churches, we've gotta earn it. No. We don't. We've gotta receive it. Receive the complete work of Jesus Christ.”

“That's what you and I are to do. Listen. That's what you and I to do. I was gonna say on a daily basis. Sometimes it's moment by moment. Because the flesh is still there, because the presence of sin is still there, and it's still knowing, but we surrender to God in his will, in his ways. And by his precious spirit, he works within us. It's not a set of rules. It's a lifestyle, a life to be lived. It's a wonderful, wonderful reality.”

#JesusOurSacrifice
“One day, there's gonna be a savior. You won't need all of these as he will call it here in these chapters, a shadow of what's to come. It was to teach them a reality what's to come, but it was always to point to Jesus Christ. And so as we look through here, remember that that that all of the the laws, the ceremonial laws, especially the washings and all of the sacrifices that had to be offered daily basis was to point to the greatest sacrifice of all, Jesus Christ, and what he would bring.”

#MercifulHighPriest
“And I think sometimes when we read about Jesus' understanding because he lived on this earth, Well, we've got we've got to bring in the triune God. When Jesus understood, God understood. Isn't that good news? You don't have a heavenly father up there with his arms folded in Jesus saying, please, father, please have mercy. You just don't know what it's like. He does. Wonderfully, he does in Jesus Christ. We have a merciful and faithful high priest named Jesus, the God man.”
