“``If you are saying, I don't know what God wants in your bible's clothes, well, dear friend, why should you expect anything other than darkness? You cannot expect the will of God if you're not in the word of God, because that's where it's found. So we walk through these things. Number one, he is God, we are not. Number two, understand the distinction between God's universal will and what we would just call his specific plan. Number three, seek God's will, or I maybe should say will or plan. Alright? So seek God's will first, not last. Okay? Seek God's will first not last. Matthew six thirty three, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteous, and all these things shall be added unto you. Seek it first. Now when I say that, we we we like to say that, we like to sing that, we probably know that verse by heart. It's different though when people sing it and say it, but they don't live it.”

“Yeah. We wanna live our own life, go our own way, get a hold of steering wheel, go about life, and just kinda add God in as it's as it's essential. Right? Add God in as I have a have a problem. I got in when I can't figure it out, or I can't pay the bills. Right? God, I'm kinda set you on the shelf over there until I need you. Just just sit real tight. Alright? I'm gonna go about my life, I'll call you if I need you. That's not how this works. Okay? God wasn't following them, they were following God.”

“Taking up a cross doesn't mean you have a bad back. Taking up a cross doesn't mean you have a hangnail. Taking up a cross means that you come to Jesus, die to yourself, deny yourself, and follow him even if that means death. You will suffer for the Lord. There there is a promise, universe at all. We see it in first Peter two verse 21, to follow his example, which was an example in first Peter two twenty one was an example of suffering. So just a couple things. You say, well, preacher, I wasn't ready for all those. Well, salvation, and sanctification, and glorification, and surrender, and serving, abstaining from sin, and and suffering, yet start with that.”

“They they're not really interested in knowing what god really wants in my life all the time, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year, but God I sure would like to know an answer about whether I should buy this, or move here, or take this job. Right? And I'm gonna tell you, you're worried about those things, God is not worried about those things, God's worried about you first. And before listen. Before you'll ever do anything great for God, God first wants to know that you're the person that he wants you to be. God is more concerned about the person than he is what you do for him. And if you don't get that right, you'll never do anything for God. Because if your heart and your character before the Lord is not right, if he doesn't do a work in you, he'll never do a work through you. Not to the degree that he could. And so this is the part, and let let me just say this, this is the part that many people struggle with.”
