78s
“What he looked for had nothing to do with Jesus. None of those things satisfied the craving in his heart that you find in Ecclesiastes. Eternity is put in the heart. What made him run and kneel? Validation. Validation. master. He wanted validation. His money, his power, his you couldn't give him the one thing that he really wanted, validation. Not appreciation. No. No. No. Don't get it confused. Validation. Appreciation is recognizing qualities that you have but validation is being accepted.”
82s
“Appreciation is recognizing qualities that you have but validation is being accepted. And this man ran and knelt to Jesus because he was running and kneeling at every place else. And all of those places were the wrong places. Good master. You know, like, we always putting something with Jesus' name, sir Jesus. Sweet Jesus. about just playing Jesus? master. None of those things that Matthew, Mark, and Luke describe as this man having gave him the one thing he craved in his heart and how many of us, brothers and sisters, crave day in and day out, not just to be appreciated. We know we have talent. No. We want to be accepted. That's the thing that these things didn't give him.”
53s
“The answer that caused this fellow to run to Jesus and kneel down had nothing to do with Jesus. His wealth, his power, his youth. What he looked for, money couldn't buy. His power couldn't grab, and he was too young, and he could not wait to have it to be received. What he looked for had nothing to do with Jesus. None of those things satisfied the craving in his heart that you find in Ecclesiastes. Eternity is put in the heart.”
