#EveryPieceMatters
“In a tradition of black quilting, scraps are clothed, sometimes old worn out cloths, pieces of a baby's blanket or patch from a wedding dress are handed down or gathered. Individually, a single scrap might look insignificant, worn out, or even non essential. But in the hands of a maker, each piece is stitched deliberately into a pattern. The strength of the quilt doesn't come from one massive piece of fabric in it. It comes from every single patch holding a specific place. Christ the victorious king who ascended on high, hands down, scraps of grace, individual gifts to every person. Just like the quilt New City Fellowship West End. We don't have any non essential pieces in this room.”

#FaithfulInSmallThings
“New City, let us allow the Lord to mature as his people. We've lost people. Finances are tight. We don't have big shiny programs. We're a small church in a church culture that says everything must be flashy, big, and relevant. And let's be honest, I'm not a celebrity pastor, and I probably never will be. All of these things might be true, but god still wants to use New City West End right here in the West End. The true sign of a maturing church ain't a big budget. It's not a famous name. It's a church that pursues this calling in unity, uses its spiritual gifts, and loves one another.”

#ComeAsYouAre
“wanna know you wanna know the entry free for getting into New City Fellowship? You need to be broken and in need of a savior. You ain't got to wear nothing nice. You ain't gotta come in here all put together. You ain't even gotta come in here smelling good though. We hope that you do because you do what you need to do. You know what I'm saying? But you ain't got to do that to get what God has on offer here. We are a hospital for the lonely, lost, and hurting. And all of us find ourselves on any given week in one of those categories. That's our calling in our mission church.”
