Sermon Clips

1. "Today we're going to talk about pathways. And just as the video said. It doesn't matter where you've been. Or what path you've been following. Jesus always welcomes you back. To his path. And so I am glad we are here together today. That we can hear God's message." [04:29] (16 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "For better or for worse, Jesus also gave us free will. Every morning, when we get out of bed, we can decide, are we going to walk with Jesus today? Or are we going to go in a different direction? And this is where resistance comes in. Because most of us are facing a resistance. We usually call it sin and temptation. But that resistance often encourages us to stray in different directions." 3. "Jesus has a plan for sin. Sin and temptation as well. Jesus lived with that. He, in his 40 days in the wilderness, was tempted by Satan. He knows what it feels like. And Jesus, as our very first video said, will take you back no matter what has happened. No matter where you've been. No matter what you have done. Jesus has a plan. He's got a path back to the path. And the path back to the path is called repentance and forgiveness." [36:12] (26 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "Jesus offers a challenging path of loving my neighbors that makes for a world where social justice and ethics have the potential to make the world a better place. For me, Jesus is my why of why I show up. Jesus is the best truth that I have found anywhere." [30:55] (22 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "When I look at this, that is a complicated, complicated pathway. And I don't think that's just something that can just randomly appear through evolution. When I look at this, this is something that an intelligent designer intentionally created in order for there to be life in the universe. God planned us, and this is some of the physical evidence of God's planning for us to exist and for us to be alive." [24:28] (36 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6. "Wherever you are in your life right now, Jesus has a path that he is calling each of us to be a part of. And as a church, we are trying to strengthen the pathway that we offer so that people can come together and grow and explore their faith in this faith family." 7. "Jesus didn't call disciples one by one, he called them as a whole group. When he sent them out, he sent them out two by two or twelve by twelve. Jesus brings people together in community and as a community, we can encourage and support each other on our journeys as we try to follow the Jesus pathway." 8. "Jesus told us he came not to get rid of the Old Testament, but to fulfill the pathway of the Old Testament, to make it clear exactly what God's intentions for us were." [26:23] (13 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

9. "Jesus cared about the journey itself. It wasn't just about where we were going to end up at the end. It was where are we going to be every day along the way. Our daily walk, the daily choices we make all day long, is the pathway that Jesus is leading us on." [35:32] (18 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

10. "Jesus offers a way of life that isn't focused on me and my personal preferences, and more importantly, it's not about my personal failings. I need something that is bigger than me, that goes beyond me, because I'm just not everything that I need." [30:14] (20 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
