#PowerNeedsPresence
“It was their fault. They compelled me to do it. I only did this one thing. I threw the gold into the fire and what came out of it was not my fault, not my doing. No one in here ever has that issue. Right? His inflection point though has consequences because you read his sons were killed for presumption, offering unauthorized fire. And he himself was not allowed to go into the promised land. There's another episode I won't even get into with he and Miriam speaking against Moses because of Moses' wife. Okay? I mean, it's just there's kind of a pattern here and it comes to me this bottom line that Aaron moved in the power but not in the presence. And folks, that is an immediate takeaway for all of us. Whatever authority you've been given And whether you're moving in gifts of the spirit or not, you should be and more and more just because it's what he's given you to do. But when it happens, you've gotta make sure you're always anchored in the presence because the power without the presence is dangerous.”

#BeOnGodsSide
“The question then is the same as it is today. Who's on the lord's side? It's not about what political side, denominational, race, gender, or personal preference. It is not a matter. Are you on my side? That is not the issue. Who is on the lord's side? Are you on the lord's side? I love that one. Joshua meets the angel. Okay? Cross the promised land. Whose side are you on? Ours or the enemy's? Neither. And folks, in a time like this, that's just gotta be so critical. This is not about I don't care how amped up you are politically or or for any other issue. It's not a question of whose side you're on, it's are you on God's side. And then you better be clear that if you're saying I am, that you're acting in a way. Because he knows the total. And boy, both parties, all political parties are so messed up, so tainted, so confused. So we have got to be discerning. Question is not if he's on our side, are we on his?”

#LoveIsAVerb
“But the current way is that I believe self idolatry is in there. It's just about well, it's I'm just not feeling it. Hello? Okay. Who said that was I I regularly have to take myself to task at times when I get up and I'm before the Lord and I'm not feeling it. And I have to say it doesn't matter what I am feeling. It is not about me. It's about you. My life is no longer my own. I am crucified with Christ. I take up my cross. I crucify my flesh with this pride, unbelief, idolatry, and fear. And I just have to walk through it. Just have to get doesn't matter. I'm not feeling it. Well, tough. See, we get to this thing about love the Lord your God with all your heart. Well, I'm just not feeling it's not get past the emotional context. Love is a verb that requires action. You act. You bring yourself under control. Does this make sense? The point which I don't wanna do that. Okay. But now you're you're creating an idol. Hello?”

#PresenceOverPerformance
“And here's the other thing that's interesting, but think about Aaron's experience. Right? Where he was and what he did. The fact of the matter when you look at the scripture mostly, we know that God spoke to Aaron to tell him to go meet his brother in the wilderness. Okay? But basically, after that, for the longest time, God speaks to Moses. He says and he says that Aaron will be as your prophet because I will speak to you, you will speak to him. You understand? But it was by Aaron with the rod, the things were done time and again. Yeah. You copy so far? So here's the big thing. He was using he was used to being used to be released the power of God. Okay? But the problem was, he spent scarce time in the presence. You gotta hear this right here. I was thinking about this and why are we shocked when somebody who's been used powerfully by God in signs and wonders and suddenly they fall big time? I think in of Aaron, think of all that God did using him specifically. Okay? You copy this? But his brother Moses was the one who was always in the presence. Aaron was not.”

#FeelingsAreNotGod
“So bottom line though here, their emotions drive their decisions, and there's a desire to return to what was known and comfortable. And what they knew and were comfortable with was the thousands of idols from Egypt. They've been around them forever. The calf was like Apis, one of the main gods in Egypt. And then, of course, they're in the golden calf. The true idol was their own emotional needs. Copy. The calf was simply a manifestation. You get this? Does this sound like at all? Okay. Because that's completely us. The number one idol today is the self. My feelings, my thoughts, my convictions, my truth. And then whatever functions out of that is simply a manifestation because I'm letting all my emotions drive that.”

#GloryLedNotNeedDriven
“The danger again is always in the midst of being uncomfortable is that we our emotions become the idol. And then we just find something to fix that too. I need a little bit of relief, so I'm gonna lose myself in social media, Facebook. I need a real relief, so I'm gonna hit the bottle. I need a relief, so I'm gonna watch porn. I need a little relief, I'm gonna work like a mad woman. Now, here's what's dangerous. I need a little relief so I'm gonna go to a church service. There are people that go to services and it's less about worshiping God than it is just about, oh, because that's where I'm known. I have an identity. I'm known as the I'm a member of this, that, or the other thing. Okay? The question is, why are you going? Who is it for? And this is my big challenge. What I love that somehow God got through to my head finally, that when we have this, this is not about what you need. It's about what he wants. It's just I used to ask that question, Lord, what do the people need? And I he just that's connected with the thing when he said, do not be need driven, be glory led.”

#GuardAgainstSyncretism
“The danger for any of us to be moving in power, moving in knowledge, other things that we've been given. We have strengths, we have gifts, we have abilities, but we're not anchored in the presence. And bottom line, I think Aaron's just a pragmatist. Okay. We got a we got this problem. He compromises, then he tries to integrate the desires of the people with the worship of God. I know. I know. Let's have a feast to Yahweh. Sorry, folks. This is just going on all over the body of Christ. It's called syncretism. We're incorporating things that are not of the word of God and then we're aligning it saying he blesses it. Okay. And then it comes this, the excuses.”

#RepentDontJustify
“remember the inflection point of Israel. In the face of silence, delay, disappointment that the pressure can build, emotions rise and the desire for comfort comes in. Desire for freedom to do as we darn well please. That was the other part of it. You know what? We want something. And they move into self idolatry. Remember the inflection of Aaron, the danger of syncretism. We adapt, we blend, we dilute, and we compromise. And guys just go on like, okay. Beware of moving in the power without the presence. When you fail, repent. Do not try to justify.”
