#GospelOutlastsEmpires
“``Across history, mighty empires have risen and had incredible power. Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Roman Empire, countless kingdoms that seemed unstoppable. Their their their rulers believed that their reign would last forever. So they built monuments. They built armies. They expanded borders. They declared their own greatness, yet every one of them eventually faded into history. But in the middle of the Roman Empire, something almost unnoticed began. A Jewish carpenter gathered a handful of ordinary followers, mostly fishermen. He didn't have a a palace. He didn't have an army. He held no political office. He died a sinner's death. But it was only the beginning. As kingdoms collapsed and dynasties disappeared, the gospel kept advancing. It crossed borders, survived persecution, outlived emperors, and transformed nations.”

#JoinTheKingdom
“The church has endured prisons and persecutions and revolutions and dictators and every attempt to silent it. Yet today, billions around the world confess Jesus Christ as lord and savior. This is exactly what the scripture foretold. The prophet Daniel said that there is a kingdom coming, a kingdom that will have no end. It is the unstoppable advance of the king of kings and the lord of lords whose kingdom will have no end. This is what we're part of. This is what we're part of here in the Fox Valley region. We're part of the movement of the king of kings, the creator of all there is who's coming back again. Are you part of the kingdom?”

#GodsPresencePromised
“The presence of God, the supremacy of God is for those people who are part of the kingdom, and you are promised that presence. It's Jesus' mission. He put on flesh. He stepped into time and space to do for you and I what we can't do for ourselves. And he went to the cross, and he lived a perfect life, and he died for you. And he rose on the third day so that whoever believes in him would not perish but have everlasting life so that you can know God. You don't have to go to a priest. You don't have to do all good things to see God and to know God. Because of by virtue of what Christ did, you can go directly to the throne of grace, and you can approach God as a sinner, yes, but as a forgiven and cleansed saint. Because you're good? No. You're a work in progress. We all are. But because Jesus was perfect, and Jesus made the way, and God's presence is promised for all those who follow him.”

#KingdomPromises
“God's presence, God's people, and God's promises. All of the promises of this book are for you as a kingdom person. All of these promises. Promises of forgiveness, of hope, of salvation, of heaven, of eternity, of the presence of God, of the joy of the kingdom yet to come. It's all for you. No pain, no death, no cancer, only new life, only new experiences forever. That is the hope of glory and of heaven, and it's coming and its promises for you. So here's the question. Are you part of the kingdom?”

#AlreadyNotYet
“And so that's a good way to kinda think about the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven. They're synonymous. Is that Jesus has come, forgiveness is possible, Jesus rose from the dead, and so there's victory. But the final victory has not been accomplished yet, and so there's gonna be some pain and struggles and some fighting until that day. So even though you're saved and you're forgiven, you still can get sick and you still can die. So even though you're saved and restored to God, you still can have relationships that are disaster in your life. So the the day of victory has come in Christ, but there's a greater day coming.”

#KingdomInaugurated
“Now theologians talk about the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven. They say that it's already here, but not all the way here. It's called the already, but not yet. So the kingdom of God was inaugurated when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He is the Messiah. He is the Christ. That's his title. It's not his last name. Jesus is the Messiah, and he was born in Bethlehem, and the kingdom of God was inaugurated. But the consummation of the kingdom of God is when Jesus Christ returns to set up his rule and reign forever as the king of kings and the lord of lords. And you as a follower of Jesus Christ will be part of that coming kingdom. And so when a a theologian says the kingdom of God is here already, but not yet, he means that Jesus conquered sin, death, and the power of the devil on the cross. He rose from the dead. If you trust in him, you can be forgiven. You can be restored. You can be redeemed. there's still sin. There's still death. There's still struggles. There's still cancer. There's still family strife. There's still rebellion. And so there's coming a day, though, where the kingdom will fully be here.”

#SeekFirstTheKingdom
“In Matthew chapter six, Jesus says to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these other things will be added unto you. And in the context of Matthew chapter six, Jesus is speaking about the birds. The birds of the air, they don't care about what they're gonna eat or they don't worry about what they're gonna drink. They don't worry about where they're gonna sleep or stay. God takes care of them. And for you, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these other things will be added to you. All of these other things will be taken care of. God's got you. God will take care of you. Don't just worry about the stuff in life. There's deeper stuff. Spiritual things, truth, love, holiness, righteousness. There is a God in heaven. And so just don't get wrapped up in all the stuff. And we have so much stuff, don't we? We've got enough stuff to entertain us to death, literally.”

#KingdomStartsSmall
“So the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And then just following verses past what I just read, Jesus is baptized and he begins his ministry. Jesus, in a lowly way, as small as a mustard seed, starts his ministry that will forever change the course of human history. This is the the way that the kingdom starts. Now maybe the kingdom has started in you in that similar way. Maybe it wasn't flashy. Maybe it wasn't with a lot of fanfare. Maybe it was just a still small voice in your heart. Maybe you grew up in the church. A lot of you raised your hands. You didn't go off, kill somebody, find Jesus in prison. You didn't have a crazy wild life. You just grew up. You knew about Jesus. You believed in Jesus. He forgave you of your sins, and and you're part of the kingdom. That's a good start. That's a good testimony, how the kingdom begins.”
