54s
“Christ redeems us all that we all might serve in this body, that we all might carry out these tasks, that we all might have a gift to share for those who are hungry or for those who are floating in a basket in a very vulnerable place. Wondering, will I be ready to be my part in the story even if someone tells me that part is wrong? If I know the part I'm being called to play by God is right, especially for some of the most vulnerable.”
46s
“Each of us is uniquely gifted by god to play some part in the grander scheme of all that god is calling us to do. And when Paul writes about each being the body of Christ, it's all of us going together on that journey and realizing there's times that our job is going to be important. At times, someone else's job is going to be important. We can't all do it the same way. We can't all do the same task. Someone may do the job a little differently and come at it from a different angle, but we're all part of that body trying to do it.”
41s
“So here we have the first case of somebody doing something that helps the story move forward. They defy an order that they know is wrong from a leader they know is doing something that is not right. They defy the leader and say no. And we're told that God blesses them for that even though they've broken the law. They've broken the law, but god blesses them for it.”
